When I called I specifically made 100% sure they took my insurance. They assured me they did. I waited a week for the appt. When I arrived guess what? They didn’t take my insurance. I really needed new contacts so I agreed to pay $ 100 for the exam. Then learned it would be $ 150 for the contact exam. They wouldn’t waive the contact lens exam fee because of their mistake. wouldn’t budge. Not happy at ALL with this place. The receptionist kept saying «sorry, my fault». I think she should have said, «sorry, not sorry» because they really didn’t act like they gave a damn… and now I have wait another week to get an appointment somewhere else. This place is so unprofessional.

I’ve been going here for years to get my contacts and my wife’s glasses. Doctor’s are very nice and fun to deal with. It’s been easy to get in to see the doctor if I have any issues and they replace anything that I have had a problem with. I have never had a problem with the front desk people like some of the other reviewers have, although they are a bit quirky at times.

I went to this optician because I needed three boxes of colored contact lenses, each to be ordered without a prescription. During the visit, the optician, Roger Alburn, told me I had a possible cataract, which was untrue and something a doctor should not say to a patient. He instilled fear in me regarding this and I do not appreciate that. He even asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment with another doctor in order to be visited for the cataract, which I kindly declined. Later and without my consent or knowledge, he scheduled the appointment anyway. I find this highly unprofessional. Regardless and once my visit was over, I ordered the contact lenses. A week later I picked up my order and to my surprise, found out that not only the color for the lenses was wrong, but that the optician supplied me with a sample for which he does not even pay. I am very dissatisfied with this service provided by him and the rest of his crew who were equally rude and unkind. As a result, am writing this letter to disclose this matter to the public.

My boyfriend has been a patient of Exton Vision for years, so when I moved to the area, I thought I would try them out as well. I just called to make my initial appointment, and I’m not sure if the receptionist had me on speaker or just had a very cheap headset, but I could hear every sound going on in the background! It was almost impossible to hear her sometimes, and was slightly off-​putting. She was very nice, maybe too friendly with the pet-​names, but nice nonetheless, which I’ll take.
I went for my appointment, and the staff was super nice (slightly odd at times, but nice). The doctor was such a cute, crotchety old man. He was very knowledgeable, and made a lot of jokes. As for the contact portion of the appointment, there is an additional charge for the «contact exam», which most insurances don’t cover. It was $ 50 extra. Just be aware of that.
The glasses staff was very energetic — again, slightly odd, but effective. They had a large selection, and I found a great pair of designer glasses and placed my order on-​site. They normally make the glasses right in their office, which is awesome and way faster, UNLESS you have Davis Vision (which I do). Then, they have to send out the order so Davis can make the glasses, which takes 1 to 2 weeks. I’m waiting for mine now.

I have gone to this place twice. Both times the eye doctors were really great and professional and always suggested pretty good contacts for me. But also both times, the receptionists were rude and gave my mom attitude for asking to see/​have the prescription.
When I was waiting for my turn, I overheard the workers there talking badly of the previous customer who just left. That made me wonder if after my mom and I left if they would do the same.
If you just ignore everything else, the nice eye doctors are worth a visit.
