History

Established in 2009.

I started my business in my basement. making and reinventing furniture. I was selling in other peoples stores in the seacoast. I opened my first store 177 water St. in 2010. The business keeps growing and I purchased 129 Front location 2012. This is now the main store and we have plans to expand this location.

Meet the Business Owner

Anna E.

Business Owner

Anna Hardy Evans has been painting, creating, and repairing furniture for more than thirty years. She revamped her first piece of furniture with a few coats of paint at age fifteen, and has worked in three-​dimensional forms ever since. Born in England, Anna’s parents owned an antiques shop, where she first learned about repairing and restoring furniture from her father. Her twin brother, a cabinetmaker who also restores homes, influenced her as well. These skills were instrumental when she undertook in more recent years total renovations of several homes, doing the majority of the labor herself.

After her marriage to an American, the artist took her woodworking and painting skills around the world, painting murals and furniture in Germany, France, the Bahamas, Florida, New Mexico, and now New Hampshire. An appreciation of both natural and man-​made forms inspires her work. Mixing pigments with an assortment of natural media, she makes her own paints to achieve timeless effects. Ingenu
