Top Gun Auto Detail & Reconditioning

Well make sure there are no valuables in your car!!! Not just the change rule either — unfortunately my son had a container filled with change — all gone. My new car… money gone and inside of the windows were not even cleaned. When I called to complain… well he just didn’t care! In fact I told him I would post in hopes of getting the money back on the last coupon I have from Amazon — no luck. They really don’t care!

Unfortunately I bought 2 internet deals and scheduled the Platinum Service on 2 cars before reading the other reviews on this business group. Here is my experience:
I called and scheduled my two detailing appointments 3 weeks out. I went to the Excelsior shop and spoke in person to Jeremy, the operations manager, the week before my appointment. He assured me he arrives early every morning and would be there by 7am to receive my car on the day of service and even drop me off at work down the road.
1. I showed up at the Excelsior/​Shorewood location at 7:40am. My appointment was at 8:00.
2. There was no one there to meet me.
3. I went into B&J auto repair shop next door (run by a really nice man) and asked him if they knew anything about the Top Gun business. He went and checked in back and told me no one was there yet. He agreed to lock his shop and run me to work and return the car for Top Gun to be detailed while I worked that day. I gave him the voucher with my phone number and my car keys.
4. A guy named Tom called me around 8:12am, he had just gotten to work and wanted to know what time my appointment was for that day and what service? (it was all on the voucher) I told him the appointment was scheduled for 8am and that I would be picking up my car after work at 4:00pm. He said that was great and they would do a good job on it.
5. I showed up at 4:45pm to pick up my car and the guy told me that they had been swamped ALL day and over-​booked due to a «scheduler purposefully sabotaging the appointments». He had just pulled my car into the bay to start on it at 4:00pm. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A 4 HOUR PLATINUM PACKAGE DETAILING OF BOTH THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR OF MY CAR! I asked what time they closed for the day and was told they normally closed at 5pm, but would stay and work on my car until it was finished. I told them to complete the job and that I would come back in 3 hours to pick up my car. They were to leave it outside and hide the keys in an agreed upon location.
6. Upon inspecting the car thoroughly the next day, many «details» were missed. There is cleaner spray residue on the vinyl door panels, the seatbelts are filthy, the carpet still has stains in it and parts of the carpet were not even touched. The gear shifter was not moved in the console during cleaning, so the dirt shows when the car is in driving gear.
Final word:
Altho the employees at this location are very kind and apologetic of their shortcomings, this business needs some serious help in rising to any sense of high standards. They have many unsatisfied customers who have posted low ratings all over Unilocal about their other locations. The owner should take serious notice!!!
