History

Established in 1980.

In 1975, as part of the University of Minnesota School of Architecture’s foreign study program, Jon was among the students to study the significance of the medieval German town of Landschute, the once capital of the powerful state of Lower Bavaria. From this experience, he developed an appreciation for architecture rich in textures, compatible with its existing surroundings and for the integration of architect and builder according to the old master builder practice. Jon is one of the small handful of architects who have chosen to go beyond just drawing and talking to actually executing the design and personally molding the vision into reality.

Jon and Mary Monson have taken up the challenge to provide a wonderful product and an enjoyable and rewarding way for you to get there. The Monsons’ 33 years of exceptional work is a testament to their ability to do just that.
