Charming Event Rental Space in Excelsior, MN (Minneapolis)

Rustic, historic, picturesque. Piqué Travel Design, located in historic Excelsior, pays homage to its name with thoughtfully curated aesthetics that evoke a need for exploration. Constructed in the 1940s and originally home to the Lyman Lumber Warehouse, this 3,000 square foot event space just outside Minneapolis enjoyed a complete restoration in 2014. The stunning modern amenities include a built-​in kitchen with tiered concrete bar, a saltwater aquarium wall and sleek full-​length deck. Expansive western facing windows provide a light and airy charm, while the vaulted wooden barrel ceiling and stone fireplace add the warmth and comfort of a Minnesota lodge. Chalked with character, guests will enjoy a nod to history with the rustic floors featuring yellow pallet marks that hail from the building’s lumber days, as well as hand-​poured concrete trough sinks and reclaimed sliding stable doors that evoke a modern farm feel. Casual, yet sophisticated, this gleaming open-​concept event space plays well with intimate groups of up to 130 people. For larger groups please contact us to discuss options.

History

Established in 2013.

Providing a warm, rustic setting within a restored lumber warehouse, the event space at Piqué Travel is perfect for intimate groups. Reclaimed materials are used throughout the space, including four farm tables built from wood off the old walls. Original lumber warehouse pallet markers still mark the floors (original to the 1940s when the building was constructed), a floor to ceiling fireplace and sliding barn doors from a nearby horse farm are just a few of the added elements that give this space unique charm.

Business Owner

Linda has nearly 25 years of business experience in marketing, event planning and business development. With the help of their landlord, Linda and her husband Jim created this unique restored event space that follows the charm of Excelsior and Lake Minnetonka. The space houses the offices of Piqué Travel Design during the day, and is open for private and corporate events during nights and weekends.
