I work in the area, in a different office park nearby on Phillips Boulevard. We have a café in my building, but it’s from a corporate cafeteria conglomerate and the quality is not generally good. When we discovered Gallery Café — and that it’s in the lobby of the building it’s in, so you don’t have to badge in — we were really excited to try it. On a nice day when we have time, we can walk. Otherwise it’s a two minute car ride. I come here once every week or two with other friends from work. We almost exclusively get the special. They post a menu every week so you can see ahead of time what they have. Today it was garlic roast pork loin(three slices) topped with sauteed broccoli rabe with fresh mozzarella, with sides of mashed potatotes and fresh seasonal vegetables(broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, carrots and summer squash). They give you so much delicious food and it’s $ 6.95. In summer they do an outdoor grill on Thursdays and you go and help yourself to sides as if you were just at a barbeque. In any case, we really like this, but i’m definitely commenting primarily on the daily chef’s special. Yes, they only take cash, but as long as you know that, it’s not a big deal.

Not very good. I suppose it is alright for an on-site café. But considering the options in the general area, Gallery Café is really bad. First and foremost, they do not accept credit cards. This subjects you to fees using the ATM machine outside of the café. There is typically a wait to order a sandwich, because the lack of workers. There is a significant lack of options available. The food always tastes and feels like it is from two days ago. My order is never prepared properly. And to boot it’s really expensive. 8 dollars and some change for a small sandwich, bag of chips, and a small fountain drink. I would happily pay this if the quality was good. But it isn’t. I tend to avoid Gallery Café these days. Unless I’m working during a blizzard, and I forgot to bring a lunch.
