Reynolds Recycling

Just moved to Ewa Beach from Los Angeles. So we wanted to recycle here to keep the island clean and do our part. We recycled back home w/​lids on didn’t know had to take em off here. Ewa recycling center has an employee by the name of Lyle. Lyle was rude, granted we showed up 15 mins before closing and you wanna go home but act like you have sense boy. We had a Gatorade bottle that had liquid in it and he came cross at me (a woman) «you can’t have the lid on to keep liquid in it, see like this (shows me liquid and pours it out) why should we pay for it? We didn’t drink it see you left liquid.» First of all I was unaware lids not allowed wasn’t no instruction on water bottles for how to recycle in Oahu, and liquid not purposely left in bottle. Second of all I’m a woman don’t come at me crooked Lyle, apparently your mama didn’t teach you too well… Your customer service leaves a lack of aloha and not one to be desired. Next time someone who is new to island and comes with lids let one of the other employees handle it and just shut your mouth Lyle. Two stars cuz the other 2 employees were doing their best to be gracious. Terrible first experience.

We were so disappointed with the professionalism. The lady was very unprofessional, sarcastic to our staff, and when our staff apologized to her for trying to help her, she did not acknowledge.
We are all trying our best to set good examples for our special education students, but when they have to witness unprofessional stupidity like that, it confuses them. It’s not too much the recycling company. We’ve been there before, and the service was great, however this woman went out of her way to belittle our staff in front of everyone. I wanted to say something to her, but it would not have come out very nice.
If this is normal for a company to allow this type of behavior, then I would not recommend them coming on the day she is working.

Boo they closed Wednesday thru Friday. I walk from the school with my students to sell their cans and bottles… Sigh, bumbai next time…

Went here for the first time today because we recently moved to ewa beach. took two trips first with glass bottles and plastics. did the usual put your recyclables in the drums thing. the workers helped me load them up to get weighed. they were quick and gave me my money came back te second with the aluminum cans and they did the same thing. noticed they recycled a lot of stuff there too. will be my new spot for recycling now.

They were super quick on our busy day! Which was super helpful because it was also really hot. Definitely gonna come here again next time the garage gets full!

This was my first experience at a recycling center. I figured I should start recycling since the 5 cent is adding up. The worker there were very helpful and fast.
Be sure to sort my bottles and cans prior.

The guys here are fast and efficient. They are open every day from 9 – 5 except from 12 – 1:30 for lunch.
