M & R Roofing

Spoke to Roger Aug 2014 asking for a quote to install rain gutters for a new construction house. He said to email him the plans and he would get back to me. After emailing the plans, he said he would install gutters for free if we hire them to install the roof. After telling him I was only looking for gutters and asked again for a quote, he stopped responding. I guess gutters are not worth his time. Would not recommend.

M&R Roofing was great! I would recommend using their company —- got excellent service. Was working with another roofing company for over 3 months (so frustrating) to get my roof completed so I could proceed with installation of a PV system. Jeff called me after being referred by the PV company I decided to go with. Jeff and Mark came out that very same day to give me an estimate, and within 1 week, I had a new roof. Thanks guys! I am very happy!

Jeff and Mark were referred to me from a neighbor– what lifesavers! I needed a new roof as I had many broken shingles. My neighbors paid top dollar for their roofs because our HOA required roofs in our neighborhood to consist of expensive materials. Jeff and Mark inspected my roof and determined my insurance company would help pay for part or all of my roof. They paid for all of it! The best part is, I only had to pay my deductible. I got a brand-​new Aluminum Shake roof! Thank you Jeff and Mark!

Very pleased with the entire process. Jamison worked with our insurance company and we now have a new and upgraded roof! Workers were nice and cleaned everything up.

Like another reviewer, M & R came unsolicited to my door and said that homeowner’s insurance might cover replacing my roof, which showed signs of wind damage. My old roof, which had been installed by a previous owner, supposedly had a 50-​year warranty, but the manufacturer had gone out of business by 2005. I was pretty skeptical of the whole deal, so I asked for some references and checked them out on BBB’s and the Dept. of Commerce and Consumer Affairs’ websites. There were no complaints filed with BBB or DCCA and I spoke with the references, one of whom gave a really glowing recommendation. So I figured that, what the heck, my roof certainly had wind damage so I called my insurance company. Long story short, they sent an adjuster out and I had a new roof within a couple of weeks. The actual work took less than 3 days. Jeff H. and Mark P. were the main guys who worked with me and the owner, Roger, came out later to clear up a few questions I had. We’re very happy with our our new aluminum shingle roof — especially since I think we’ll be due for a hurricane one of these years.

YES, I tried to chase them out of my yard during our initial meeting when I was approached to have my roof replaced entirely at little or no out of pocket expense.

M & R Roofing is a locally owned company. Roger is very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced in his profession. He came out and got on the roof with his crew, btw his crew is all family! I had to leave before they were done and i got a text message with a photo the job was completed. Came home and everything was cleaned including my pool! They were heaven sent and and i am beyond blessed.

Jeff and Jamison came to my door unsolicited and informed me that my homeowners policy might cover minor wind damage caused by multiple storms in 2014. What can I say! Jeff and Jameson are real pro’s. They specialize in Insurance claims and broke it down for us. We started with shingles on the ground, Met with Jeff and Jameson and in one week we have a new roof. Customer service like this is a rare commodity and we’re very, very happy with the results. Roger, Arnel, and crew did an amazing job! I had mustang brown, aluminum rustic shingle (with foam) installed. The house is much cooler! Crew was professional, with attention to safety (wearing harnesses). Included:
1. deeper aluminum gutters to catch the faster water flow of the metal roof
2. removing/​reinstalling solar water panels
3. extra gutters where they thought «it would just be better»
4. repainting areas where they installed flashing
…and still came in at a better price than all the competitors.
Roger is also the only one I know of who went through the certification process for this particular product, which helps in maintaining the wind warranty.
I also appreciate that Roger worked closely with the solar PV company to install the support bases. The solar PV company didn’t want to work with metal roof and was ready to cancel the contract, but Roger designed the installation to their satisfaction.
On top of all this, they cleaned up at the end of each day.

Roger from M&R and his crew did a great job on our home in Mililani Mauka. He worked closely with the company that was going to install my PV system immediately afterwards.
They installed my rain gutters as well. They did such a good job, I referred them to my neighbor, who hired them to re-​do his roof and gutters too.
