Yellow Cab of Washington

This review is based on dispatch and the high turnover of drivers. Some are fabulous! Like the guy who told my husband and I that the meter means absolutely NOTHING! They pay a rental fee for the cab, and whatever they make on top of that, they keep (aside from gas). I love some of the drivers.
But there are far too many who get on their Bluetooth, and then ‘Don’t hear you’ when you give directions, and run up the meter turning around…
Dispatch is terrible. They can never understand the address you give them, or, when they enter your phone number, they tell you the address you gave them isn’t one they have on file. Oh. Neat. Can you get a cab to the address I just told you or not?
Also, ONLY PAY CASH! My husband and I have both had our accounts frozen because a driver took our debit card info and used our information to buy his family medication and computer parts in a small town in Ohio. And he was a total SWEETHEART.
You never know…

I booked a ride to Seattle Airport a day before the ride. I waited 20 minutes past my reserved time but there was no sign of the cab. I got an Über ride in 5 minutes after I called one. 50 minutes after my reserved time, the cab driver finally called me saying they were running behind schedule and asked me if I still want a ride. I was about to get to the airport already. Without Über, I might miss my flight. This Yellow Cab deserves no star at all!!!

I have been using Yellow cab since I was a little kid, some 30 years now. Since I have been using yellow cab these days in the Northgate community, I am always late. The app will cancel on me multiple times after putting in the order and waiting. I watch cab drivers on the app get lost at my p[lace circle, and then cancel. I know why Über is doing so well these days…

Thank you for your great service. Everyone I dealt with was polite. Most the time I have trouble with taxies. They made it easy.

Never again using this company. I called an hour in advance to get a pick up at 0830. It was 0835 when I called again, they said that there was no record of my pick up in their system.
This is not the first time it’s happened. I really don’t care for this company at all. Complete BS the way they’re trying to run this company. Get more responsible people for dispatch, and get nicer drivers.

I take a cab twice daily almost 5 days a week. For close to ten years. Usually my drivers are prompt and courteous. For the last two days I have had horrible service from dispatch. Today. I waited an hour. To find out my driver was sent to the wrong city! I do hair. So, I am an hour late for work, making me 15 minutes late for my guest. I am out the cost of the service. And… I was told sorry we have «no resolve for you.» Shame on you dispatch!

Why didn’t I think to look at a cab company review!!! We booked a cab at 9:30 this morning for a 1:30 pick up to go to a local wedding. When they pulled a no show we called & they said they didn’t have a cab in the area. Are you kidding me? A person is foolish to support a company like this. I hope the next time an innocent person calls this company they reach a disconnected phone for a company & it’s people who deserve to go out of business.

Trying to be a responsible partier! My cab driver just chastised me for only needing a ride for 1.6 miles. Said it was a «waste of his time» and he would «be making no money». Even after a 1.6 mile road and a $ 4 tip not even a thank you but «I can’t believe I came all the way from Lynnwood for this». What’s better than. .A DUI?

Yet again another issue with Yellow Cab. I don’t know why I keep using them. I get picked up to go to work across town. I tell the driver I have a certain amount on my debit card and I want to get as close as I can with that amount. Figuring I will just walk the rest of the way. This guy, as soon as he hears I am using my card, pulls over on the side of broadway demanding I pay him now. Even though we haven’t even reached the destination yet. How the heck does he even know what I owe him when he hasn’t even reached where I am going?!? Then he calls dispatch and tells them I have no money and he needs a new call. He was going to drop me off in the middle of nowhere. But even close to my destination because I wanted to use my card. I of course, being upset, started to cry and called dispatch myself. I take this cab company all the time and I couldn’t believe the answer I got from them. They told me that he can demand payment up front if he wants because the drivers are independent contractors. So, basically the drivers can do whatever they want, treat paying customers like crap, and the company doesn’t care. Long story short, the driver finally gave up and dropped me off at work and you can be sure he didn’t get tipped!

What a rip off. 12.00 ride and the driver says 22.00 cause I drove 10 miles to get you. I gave him 14.00 and he says get out. KISS MY ASS yellow cab!

I have had two very unpleasant experiences with Yellow Cab in Everett and I will never use them again. The first time, I had an important appointment and I called a few hours before I needed the cab and asked them to pick me up at my house at 10:30 am. The guy arrived at about 10:10 and I wasn’t ready yet, I was still putting on my shoes and stuff. I told him I asked for the cab at 10:30 and that he was early and I wasn’t quite ready to go. He SCREAMED at me and told me that Yellow Cab would never send another taxi to my house and that this was all my fault. After he left, I called the dispatcher and explained what happened. He apologized and sent another cab, which turned out ok, so I used them a few more times.
Then the last time, a few weeks ago, I called the DAY BEFORE I had a grooming appointment with my border collie dog (45 pounds, clean and well-​behaved). I made sure they accepted dogs in their taxis and made an appointment for them to pick me up about a half hour before my appointment, which was about 15 minutes away. When the guy got there, he called my phone and said he was out front. He wasn’t — he was halfway down the block. I went out and walked toward him and he rolled down the window and started yelling «no, no, I do not take a dog, it is not right!» I told him I called in advance and asked if they took dogs and they said yes. He kept saying, «it’s not right, it’s not right.» He was looking at me suspiciously. Finally he asked where I was going, and I said to the groomers at PetSmart, 15 minutes away at most. He just kept looking at me suspicously and saying, «no, I don’t take dogs, it’s not right.» Finally, I started walking away. He started honking and shouting «wait, wait!» I just kept walking. He yelled, «does this mean you don’t want a taxi?» I went inside and called dispatch and told them what was going on. They said that the cab driver had just called them and told them I wasn’t ready to go yet. I explained what really happened and they asked if I wanted them to send another cab. I was so mad and humilated by this guy yelling at me that I told them to forget it and rescheduled the appointment. I will never use them again.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Everyone in Seattle NEVER USE YELLOW CAB!!! Use Orange cab if you are in the Everett area or use checkered cab if you are in Seattle. This morning I had to take a cab to get my dog to a vet. After we got to the Vet I tried to pay and my card wouldn’t go through. I didn’t know why so I tried other cards. None of them worked! I asked him if I could run my dog inside because he’s very sick and needs vet care. He leaned over the back of the seat and screamed in my face I don’t F-​ing care if your dog dies. It’s not my F-​ing problem. (All while he had me locked in the car!!!) I’ll throw your dog out of this F-​ing car! And then he calls the cops!!! They come and tell me I have to go to county jail because I own him money and its theft! Finally they decide to give me until the end of the day to pay. When I go in Pets Mart a couple people ask me if I got it taken care of. I explain what’s going on and a few people go out and to pay. And none of their 3 cards work!!! So then the officer tries with his $ 40,000 credit card and that didn’t work!!! HIS MACHINE WAS BROKEN! I ALMOST WENT TO JAIL BECAUSE HIS MACHINE WAS BROKEN!!! The officers yelled at him and gave him quite an earful and made him drop the waiting charge since he kept the meter running the whole time!!! It was really scary!!!
