Safety and sanitation are of utmost importance, as well as customer satisfaction. Creativity is key here, so come with all your ideas, and Crystal will be happy to make them happen for you!

History

Established in 2016.

The Glitterbox is the perfect dream of Crystal Smead. Crystal has a long love affair with nails, starting back as a teenager in the 90’s, watching and learning as her mom did nails out of the family home, back when gel nails were only just catching on.

In 2013, after searching Everett for years, Crystal finally found a manicurist that met her high standards for nails and nail art. Over the next year, this technician became a mentor for Crystal, and encouraged her to go to school to obtain her manicurist’s license. In August 2014, she finally took the plunge and enrolled at Evergreen Beauty College.

In February 2015, she joined The amazing team of nail artists at the Nail Parlour, quickly building a loyal clientele with her attention to detail and her love of people. When the Nail Parlour announced they would be closing at the end of 2015, Crystal knew it was time to branch out on her own. She opened the Glitterbox with a full clientele and a waiting list in January 2016!

Business Owner

Crystal is a native of Washington, now residing in Everett, along with her husband, son, four cats, a beagle and a small parrot (whew!). Having developed a love for art at a very young age, she spent her life trying to find a way to incorporate that into her career. She made it happen in 2014 when she started her journey to become a nail technician.

With a strong background in customer service, coupled with her eye for color and shape, it made sense she would find her happiness in the beauty industry. She is constantly striving for perfection, and if you aren’t happy, she’s not happy.

She loves to talk, and more importantly, she loves to listen. Half artist, half therapist – as all good technicians should be – she’ll send you out the door smiling, regardless of how your day may have started out!
