My family had tried this place before in the past… it wasn’t that great. IT’S FLIPPINGGREATNOW! It was around $ 50 for carne asada nachos, 3(huge) bean/cheese burritos, 2 chimichangas with everything inside, sourcream, beans/rice sides and glass bottle cokes. TOTALLY worth it. The kids burritos were freaking huge and very filling. The chimichangas have choice of meat, rice, beans and cheese in them. They also threw in a bag of chips too. The rice is fluffy and flavorful and ample cheese on everything. I can’t wait to come back and try more things. YUMMMMM!(Seriously, our Mexican Uncle says the carne asada is good too. He doesn’t mess around with meat.)

Discovered this little gem yesterday, and my husband & I are fans. We were impressed with the friendly welcome, quick service, and attentiveness. The food was delicious and incredibly fresh tasting. We will definitely make this a go-to whenever we need our Mexican food fix.

There is a reason they are rated as well as they are. Great prices, service, and even better food. I walked in ordered my wet Verde burrito($ 8.75) paid and sat down. Was promptly brought out chips, salsa, and water. Shortly after my huge burrito.(had sour cream and guac inside) Definitely found my new local place. Puts El Paraiso across the street to shame.

Well, this is a bummer. We’ve been eating here since they opened as Tacos Guaymas 15 or 16 years ago and today, we were banned from the restaurant because I questioned the lady behind the counter when I caught her being dishonest about a Groupon. The coupon, which was sold by Groupon on behalf of was for $ 10 off any purchase $ 20 or greater. She had told us on a previous visit that she didn’t want to honor the coupon through the app and that if we didn’t have it actually printed out, she would only give us the item in our order that was the least expensive. We opted to forgo our order that night and print out the coupons. When we returned tonight, she tried to run the same line on us. When I pointed out that the coupon said $ 10 off, not BOGO, she claimed that it was written in the fine print. I asked her to show me and she pointed to a random spot on the coupon and said it was there. I then pulled out the second coupon that I still had and asked her to show me on mine because I had read it and it didn’t say that. She then got flustered and said that it actually didn’t say it on the coupon, it was in the computer?!! After she again refused to honor the coupon that I had purchased I pointed out that she was a liar and hence the ban. It really is a shame. We have been loyal customers and our kids grew up on their food. We’ve probably spent well north of $ 1000 there over the years and she has decided to throw away years of future business and recommendations to our friends over what really only amounts to $ 2 or $ 3. I’m the type who gets hung up on principle though and we are definitely done. There are plenty of other good options that aren’t run by weaselly people. I recommend La Terazza in Marysville or Ralioberto’s in Everett

I am very happy for those how enjoyed their experience here. I had the fish burrito and it was bland. I’m not one to leave any food on my plate, or my kids plates either but I left half of the burrito. The kids were not satisfied but the wife liked her wet burrito. …hence the extra star. This is one that you should try but I will not return.

Good, authentic and inexpensive. Might be considered hole In the wall, but it has everything we want and need. It’s also quick, and if you’re real lazy they have a drive through. Careful getting in/out from 112th.

So pleasantly surprised. I had a carnitas super burrito. It was absolutely delicious, and a full meal for roughly ten bucks. Can’t beat that. This is my new place to crave

Got the tamales. They were good but not fantastic. Two tamales was alot of food, and they let me order them a la carte. I will definitely go back, but I will try something new.

This is our go-to Mexican place over the in the Everett/Silverlake area. It’s small and on the corner across from Safeway by the Bartell’s tucked behind the 7 – 11 and easy to miss but OMG sooo worth it. They have beef tongue & beef cheek both of which are fabulous and so tender it’s like mom’s potroast it just falls apart in your mouth. My personal fav is actually the Super Burrito with Chicken these things are huge and take two hands to eat, stuffed to overflowing with all the fixins. Oh and they carry real Mexican Cokes and sodas as well as homemade aqua frescas and horchata!

I’ve been searching for quite a few years for tacos like these, and finally found them today. As authentic as you will get outside of Mexico.

YES! Such an interesting place to eat. Made out of an old KFC this Mexican restaurant is so creative. Mixing a fast food feel with a sit down Mexican joint, you won’t be let down. The food is great and the prices are just as good. It’s small and the parking lot is difficult to get in and out of but it is definitely worth the struggle. Walk in and order and pay like a fast food restaurant. Sit down and eat with service like a sit down place. Such a creative mix but I loved it! They also have a very wide variety menu that is sure to please anyone. Give it a try!

Tacos Faenas is not the easiest place to get in and out of, but if you’re going eastbound on 112th, you’ll have no problem slipping into their parking lot. From the outside, it looks pretty unremarkable, yet typical of a small Mexican restaurant. Living in the area, we’ve driven past it several times but never considered stopping in… that is, until, I read the Unilocal reviews. Blown away by the 4.5 stars, I realized that good things come in small packages… er, buildings. Another lazy night for us, and with a hankering for Mexican food, we decided to try Tacos Faenas. It was definitely a plus to see a restaurant filled with Latino families — you know it’s really good, and traditional. The special that night was two enchiladas with beans and rice for $ 7.95, which my husband ordered, along with an ice cold Coors. I opted for their super taco salad, also for $ 7.95. This is the kind of join where you order at the counter, and then bring your food to the table. I was pleasantly surprised when a dish of fresh tortilla chips along with a cup of house made salsa came for us to munch on while waiting for our entrees. The salsa was damn delicious, and perfectly spicy. The food came quickly. My husband quickly devoured his enchiladas, while I ate more lady-like and took my time to enjoy my salad, served in a crunchy tortilla bowl. The bowl was layered with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, as well as carne asada(my meat of choice). On the side was a scoop of both guacamole and sour cream. Tacos Faenas also has a «salad bar» with accompaniments(not salad), including different sauces, as well as pickled onions, pickled carrots, radishes, and lime wedges. I ended up trying some of their green sauce(not sure what it was) as a salad dressing, and because the carrots looked interesting, I tried those, too. The carrots were seriously delish and I could’ve eaten way more. Overall, I was really impressed with the food. Is it the best? Probably not, but it’s damn good for the money. And the people running the place give you no shortage of thanks for coming in. This is the kind of place I want to be a customer of, because they make good food and truly appreciate the business. Will we be back? You can bet on it.

We get take out about once a month and have loved every dish we have tried. Recently I tried some tacos(carne asada, al pastor, and carnitas) and they were all delicious. If you are looking for something lighter their super taco salad(in a crispy tostada bowl) is good. Love that they are open Sundays since most places are closed. We really like this restaurant and will continue to be loyal customers.

Easily the best Mexican food in the area. Food is excellent and the closest to good, authentic Mexican that I have had outside of California. Chips and salsa, soft tacos, flautas, fresh guacamole, rice and beans — all very much on point. Inside of the restaurant is definitely outdated, hole in the wall; however, very clean and the service is friendly.

What a wonderful surprise! I was born and raised in Everett but I’d never heard anyone talk about this place, and I barely ever noticed it. But holy cow! It is SOGOOD! They have an EXCELLENT vegetarian section, their rice doesn’t use chicken broth, and their beans don’t have lard; that’s hard to find. But carnivores, fear not, you’d never notice or miss these things! Plus they have a wide selection of everything to suite all tastes. They clearly make their own tortillas and sauces; all absolutely superb, very flavorful. And all you can eat pico de gallo! The prices are so low, portions generous, the server was so sweet, smiley, and pleasant, and to top it all off, there’s outdoor seating AND a drive thru, what! AMAZING! My new town favorite. I’m beyond excited!

This is going to be a go to place for me now that I have settled in Everett. Having lived in LA for about 10 years, I had the chance to sample some amazing Mexican chow. That being said, I’d say these guys are pretty dang close to be at least on par with some of the best I had down there. My first visit I had the whole fried tilapia. Not a dish for the faint of heart, I will grant you that. Takes some doing seeing the fried eyeballs of some critter that you are about to eat. But holy crap, the whole fried tilapia I had from these guys was the best I have had in two different states now. It was fried just right. Not too much so that it turns the whole fish into crust and not too little to make it too greasy.(It is fried after all). Second visit was chicken mole. They slice up chicken thigh into chunks and it is bathed in that rich savory chocolatey sauce. Not the absolute best I’ve ever had, but very very close. There’s like 10 different things I want to try and I am going to make it one of my missions in life to try it. Each time the rice and beans I got with it were really good. I’m pretty sure the tortillas were made by them. The tortilla chips were really good too. As addictive as any place’s, but their’s were actually a titch better because they were just a bit less salty than I have had at some places. They have a salsa bar which is totally cool. But my only«criticism» is that they only have a two or three salsas out. I wish they had a few more. This is a pretty soft criticism. Can’t wait to go back.
