Excellent Customer Service! My family had always used Pacific Topsoils over the years, and I used them for gravel at my store for a French Drain. Recently I needed some Premium top soil to fill sags and divots in my lawn. Price was fair, delivered on time. I ordered 6 yards. After spreading, I was unsatisfied with the mix… a little too much bark & pea gravel. I called the office, the receptionist, who was very friendly, took my info and had me leave a voicemail for their customer service rep. I left a message at 10am, and by 1pm the same day, Jon Barnes, was at my house taking pictures and making an assessment in person. He made apologies for the product and explained what went wrong in the sifting process. He offered a refund or credit with no hesitation or hoops for me to jump through. As a business owner myself, I understand a service was rendered and overall I got what I paid for, so I didn’t want a full refund because one was not owed to me. But Jon had a great solution; He had a couple more yards of finer 50⁄50 sand & compost mix delivered the next morning, to smooth over the top soil. And gave us another bag of grass seed, since we had already seeded after spreading the topsoil. Just to recap; in less than 24 hours from contacting customer service, Jon arrived to my home in person and the great team at Pacific Topsoils had exceeded my expectations & completely resolved my issues. Pacific Top Soils is a horrible company!!! We purchased bark from these guys to be sprayed throughout our yard. Their hose that sprays the bark busted loose and the bark pelted my daughter and I very hard. So bad that she had bruises, scuffs and a small amount of blood. Fortunately, it didn’t hit our face and I picked my daughter up and ran as fast I could to get away from the barrage of bark. I told the service crew that they should have warned us to stay inside and that my daughter got hurt. All they said was, «here is your invoice»… They didn’t even extend an apology! So I called customer service and explained the situation hoping they would implement procedures to ensure this doesn’t happen again and they were surprising very rude about the whole situation. On top of all of this, we had fire ants in our bark and when I explained this to them, they said the fire ants weren’t in the bark but that we probably already had them here and they were attracted to the bark! Yea right, we had never seen fire ants at our house and we’ve lived here for nearly 10 years. We’ve also had bark delivered from other more reputable companies before, without any fire ant issues.
