Hyundai of Everett

My wife scheduled an appointment to have the oil changed in her car at Hyundai Everett. She arrived for her 1:30pm scheduled appointment, gave them the info, was seated in the waiting room, and they took her keys. 1.5 hrs later (yes, 1.5 hrs later) she went into the shop and asked them what was taking so long. They couldn’t find the paperwork. Finally they did. Then couldn’t find the car. It was outside on the lot. Nothing had been done!!! «Human error» they said…
OK, I know, people make mistakes — but this is beyond absurd. NO ONE thought to ask her (while she sat in the waiting room for 90 minutes) if everything was ok? Once they discovered their error, they were defensive and kept saying «Sorry, it was just human error… people make mistakes». They offered a free oil change coupon (whoopee) as if that will get back this 2.5 hrs of her life. Next time I’ll just save the grief and go to Jiffy Lube.

I took my Hyundai in for an oil change yesterday which took just over an hour. The reps were ok for the most part but struck me as knowledgeable and more focused on getting a good review that providing actual service, they made little to no eye contact and seemed adjudicated like I was more of a bother than a customer even though they were not busy. They even called me by the previous owners name when they came into the waiting room. Keep in mind the appointment, title, and all paperwork is in my name. When signing the paperwork I told them I would give them a good review in an attempt to lighten the vulture like mood and relieve some of their anxiety. This unfortunately is not going to be the case. After leaving I made it a few miles down the road when the car started sputtering and shaking, the check engine light came on and stayed on it didn’t blink. Luckily I was right next to a gas station which I pulled in and checked the oil which was next to empty. I bought some oil and filled it up and continued onto another appointment I had. After contacting the dealer I was told to bring it back in and that maybe it has a leak. I checked the car this morning — no leak. This car has been running fine until I took it to them. I also checked the oil the next day — no leak. I don’t trust these mechanics and don’t trust they provided any of the checks they claimed to. The stated they checked the tires and the best tread was int he front already so there was no need. I put the tires on myself if they checked them they would of said the tread was the same all the way around instead of making up something to me the customer to just have me agree. This service department is a joke that cannot even do an oil change. I will be taking my car to another dealership for any future scheduled maintenance. I suggest you do the same these people at this dealership need some serious management and personnel review.

My fiancée took his car in to get oil changed and it took them over an hour to do it then we drove the car out the car engine light came on and the car was shaking so we pulled into chevron and noticed there was NO oil in there! !!! So we had to buy oil n fill it up. We were lucky it would have ruined the motor! This place sucks. when I go to jiffy lube, they always do it within 10 minutes and do the job right!!!

Not impressed with the service department thus far. I purchased a NEW 2016 Elantra in August and Ive owned it now going on 4 months. When getting my first oil change in Novemeber I was told about a recall for the sun roof. Scheduled the apt soon after but during the recall fix, they BROKE something else and the sunroof is now not in working condition. They advised the part would be in this last Friday or Monday and that they would call me. NEVER GOT THE CALL, so naturally wondering whats going on, I called them and was told the part is now on back order (though it was being shipped last time I checked) and it could be untl MID JAN before they get the part! In the mean time mind you, my brand new 2016 car is rolling around with a broken sunroof, unable to use. Not impressed!

I have purchased more than 15 new cars in my 71 years and my experience buying my new 2016 Elantra was far and above the best ever! We actually entered the dealership in error but shortly after Jackie Walton greeted us we knew it was meant to be. Bottom line: we got the best price possible with no pressure whatsoever. None of the usual «I’ll have to run the numbers past my manager» crap and be handed over to one or two others. She told us upfront she would beat the advertised price of the competitors ad. She not only beat the price, but even subtracted from the bottom line the 1% sales tax difference of the other dealer’s lower tax rate. She told us if we weren’t happy with the car we could return the car in a day or two for a full refund. That has NEVER happened before. In California you are told very clearly that there is no cooling off period.
I could go on and on about our great experience but won’t bore you. Just know that if you want a new Hyundai, you won’t get a better deal or be treated better than at Hyundai of Everett. Great service, set appointment for recalls went in on time they took care of recalls inspected car checked alignment and corrected tpms at no cost.

We purchased an 08 Hyundai Sonata GLS from a private party 3 months ago. Very well maintained and the engine had even been professionally cleaned and detailed.
Unfortunately, we started going through a quart of oil every two weeks. We discovered the entire upper surface of the engine was covered in oil and it had pooled up in all of the dips and grooves of the upper manifold.
We took the car to a local repair facility on 128^th in South Everett. I am not mentioning their name due to threats from the owner. We feared the worst due to the amount of oil. We were presented an estimate for $ 2400. We were told the valve covers were both leaking and the timing cover was leaking and it would be a very labor intensive repair and possibly damage to the motor for the lack of oil circulating. We were told to prepare for other possible repairs once it was taken apart. This turned out to be a complete lie.
We were devastated by this estimate and decided we had to try taking it to the dealership for a second opinion. We had always steered clear of dealerships because of higher hourly shop rates and parts costs, or so I thought.
We contacted Hyundai of Everett and were assisted by James. We drove the car to him for inspection and estimate. He looked at the motor for about 30 seconds and said, «I think I see your problem right here.» He stated that it appeared the oil filter was not put back on correctly during the last oil change that it appeared crooked, possibly cross threaded. He could see this was the source of all of the oil without even taking anything apart. He said there appeared to be no oil leaking around the timing cover and there appeared to be a very slight leak out of the corner of one of the valve covers. He would know more after they looked at it in greater detail. That evening James called us and confirmed what he already knew. The oil filter was not put on correctly and it was missing «round seals» that are supposed to go on with the filter as part of the filter change for this Hyundai. There was a small amount of oil leaking around a valve cover, but not a huge deal. He also told us our brake pads were down to a point where they should be replaced.
The cost of all of this? Out the door, with tax, $ 542. Oil changed, new filter, replaced valve cover gasket, tires rotated, all fluids topped off, new brake pads and a complete vehicle inspection.
Thank you James and Hyundai of Everett. Everyone there was kind to us and we appreciated the honesty. We will never take our Hyundai to anyone else. EVER!

Unfortunately I didn’t have a great experience at HofE despite all the great reviews I had read before going there. I went to HofE to look at and test drive a used 08 Elantra that I had seen online. I spent a long time looking at all aspects of the car before I actually test drove the car, and the salesperson was completely SLIENT the whole time, like less talking than the cashier does at a grocery store silent.
Now I hate pushy sales people, but the salesperson I was working with didn’t seem to care if I bought the almost $ 10,000 car or not. He failed to talk about any of the features of the car even when I was looking at them, which just seemed weird and strange considering I was looking at buying a Hyundai at a Hyundai dealership. My only thinking is because I look young, he may not have thought I was serious and/​or had the money, even though I was, and I did.
Anyway, the car looked real nice but it was a little bit over what I wanted to spent. Because of the attitude I had experienced before, I figured it wasn’t worth calling or emailing to try and get the price down at all so I moved on to looking at cars at other dealerships. I also don’t think I will get the Hyundai Sonata I ended up buying elsewhere serviced at HofE, since the level of service was so mediocre with such a possibly large sale.

This car buying experience actually started on Labor Day with a trip to the Everett Kia dealer. That experience went really bad, which ended up being a great thing! They didn’t want to help me, but I found EVERYONE at Hyundai of Everett was WILLING to help! I first met Deder who listened and took care of what I wanted. I was looking at a used car, so he took me to the used car lot and introduced me to Fabian Ponce. He was amazing with me and helped me and listened. He asked me to think about a different car. He was able to get me into a brand new Elantra for less then the 2013 Sonata. It was an all around awesome experience! To top it all off, I met Greg the sales manager. Then Robert the finance guy and everyone between! Today I got a phone call from Deder wanting to know how the new car was. I told him it was great, but there was a grease spot inside. Bring it by and we will take care of it… today he says! I love my new car and everyone at Hyundai of Everett! Thank you so much to all of you! The only question I have… when is Hyundai going to make a truck??? :-)

Wow. Where to begin. First off, I have ZERO ties to Hyundai of Everett and I have never met anyone that works there prior to me purchasing a car here. My review is unbiased.
So, here we go.
My wife and I decided it was time to trade in her 10 year old SUV for something smaller and of course with that great Hyundai warranty you always hear about. We started by looking at Hyundai of Everett’s website to look at inventory, specifically the Certified used cars. We were impressed by the volume of cars they had on inventory. We decided we liked the 2014 Elantra GT and found a great looking certified one was listed at a reasonable price online. We decided to go take a look that night with my 2 small kids. When we got there, we were greeted politely by Salesman Fabian Ponce. He was friendly and far from pushy. We asked about the car we saw online, he quickly brought it up front and got us set up for a test drive. The atmosphere was extremely kid friendly, they even gave both our kids balloons. After the test drive we decided we wanted to sleep on it and possibly come back the next day without kids. Fabian was very encouraging with our plan, didn’t push us to stay at all.
As planned, we returned the following afternoon, ready to begin the dreaded buying a car game. We were greeted professionally once again, Fabian even remembering our names. We sat down for negotiations and we’re offered several drink selections. It was nice we were seated in the showroom rather than some dank backroom. In all we negotiated for MAYBE 30 minutes, it was unbelievable. They worked with us, the back and forth was painless. They gave us a very fair trade in for our SUV. We even came in pre financed with a really great rate and they ended up getting us a better rate!
Honestly we can’t tell enough how great of an experience this was. I have had horrible experiences buying cars, so this was a breath of fresh air. Check out Hyundai of Everett for great car selection, honest salesman and an enjoyable buying experience. Seriously.

I did not end up buying a car here but I did have a great experience while looking for one here. I was helped by Sandie and another coworker of hers. They were helpful and jumped through every hoop to make sure I was happy. I ended up buying a truck elsewhere but would not hesitate to go back if I needed a new car or SUV.

My wife and I just had a baby girl at the end of December and after yet another problem with our aging, Range Rover we began our new car search. We started out at Performance Kia but wanted to shop around a little more before committing and I have had many friends happy with their Hyundais.
Arriving at the dealership we were very impressed with the selection at the lot, the décor was very nice, well kept and the various «awards» around the place were all very good signs. Things continued to look up when we met our salesman. I wish I could remember his name because he was very polite, knowledgeable and personable. When we explained the situation we were in with the Range Rover (still owed $ 5000 on it) he seemed genuinely interested in helping us out. My wife was able to locate a new Elantra that she liked, the price was VERY good so I went home to get the Range Rover and we were fully prepared to purchase the car.
This is where everything went south in a hurry. Our wonderful salesman needed to step away and take car of another customer that he had an appointment with so he left us with a female salesperson. At first, she seemed nice but when she came back to talk about our trade-​in, she said that the offer was $ 500. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Then when I told her that her offer was like a slap in the face, she said, «Well that’s fine… WE’RE not offended!» While I was happy that I didn’t offend her, I was certainly offended!!!
Her justification for the low-​balled insult to my intelligence was that «you are already getting a great price for that car!». That would have been the price of the car REGARDLESS! Nice business model… sell cars at a low margin and then screw the customer on the trade-​in.
Since my little girl was still in the hospital and I needed a car by the end of the day, we made the decision to go back to Performance Kia who offered $ 3000 on the Range Rover. Another thing that was astonishing was that there was zero attempt to convince us to stay.
My wife and I purchased a 2015 Forte that same day at Performance Kia for a good price and a fair trade-​in price for the Range Rover. Still, I would have rather had that Elantra (I liked the color better) but I would not be taken advantage of.
I wont be back and I will make it a point to warn anyone with a trade in to stay away from Hyundai of Everett.

On the last purchase I received 8 free oil changes and each time I have brought the car in, it’s been a great experience.
The show room is smaller but the lot is very large with lots of cars on the parking lot. All 3 of the salesmen I have been helped by were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the cars and no one ever tried to up sell me.
Highly recommend this location if you want a great car and are within 100 miles

By far the best place I’ve been to recommend this place to all Hyundai drivers. Very friendly customer service, honest, knowledgeable, and quick! Went in for my 2001 hyundai elantra gls because I had some electrical problems in my car and they found out something was plugged in backwards within a few minutes. So they ended up fixing it for me for a free of charge. Thank you so much!!!

We always take our 2009 Sonata to Hyundai of Everett for service. They have great customer service, estimates always accurate and often less than the estimate. Service appointments are on time every time. I would recommend them for service to your Hyundai.

Lost all my brake lights (sending out good karma points to the guy who got out of his car at a stoplight to warn me). Few checks of our own, nothing amiss. Online search mentioned a warranty issue I hadn’t known about.
Quick call to the dealership and was told to come in right away (on a Saturday no less). Took less than 20 minutes for the service department to fix the problem, as well as update something in my computer system, and get me on the road again. All covered too.
Still in shock.
Everyone was super nice and friendly. I know where I’m going the next time I need any major service!

Very friendly staff through out my two hour wait to get front breaks replaced. I’ve called around to check prices and Hyundai of Everett was by far the cheapest and they also checked fluid and such. They have a nice waiting room, TV, free WiFi and free coffee/​light snacks.

Just prior to coming in to Hyundai of Everett I had finished dealing with a really unfortunate and poorly handled situation in which a car I had purchased two months prior at a different dealership ended up being a lemon. After going a full month without a car and never offered a rental car even, and being treated poorly by this other dealership I was feeling very sensitive to how I would feel going through the entire car shopping experience again so soon. I was determined to stay away from the pushy yucky salesman approach and vowed to myself I wouldnt fall for that again.
I came into Hyundai of Everett just to look around and look at a couple of the 4 door hatchbacks they carry, and Sandie came out to meet me. She was so easy going and pleasant, as well as knowledgeable, and showed me all the cars right in the range I wanted. She didnt push me towards anything I wasnt into or couldnt afford at all. She just showed me exactly what I asked for, and told me all about the cars. She even encouraged me to go to other places and drive all the cars I was considering before I decided. I was impressed at how «normally» I was being treated, but still leery.
I came back later the same day to look again at the Hyundai Accent Hatchback SE in silver, and consider my options, and Sandie again was very easy going and never once pushed me towards anything. I left that day very much liking the car… it drove so smoothly, was quiet inside, had all the bells and whistles, price couldnt be beat, and was brand new with a full warranty. I had never bought a new car before and always assumed it to be impossible in my price range thus far, but after outlining some details it seemed like maybe this could work.
I slept on things, spent the evening researching cars, and the next morning Sandie had emailed me some pricing… Her numbers were right on the mark with what I had researched to be fair pricing, even better than, and I decided that not only did I love the car, but I wanted to give HER my business. I went back in after talking to Sandie, and she spent a solid chunk of time walking me through things all over again to be sure I was comfortable. She was really fantastic, and never seemed hurried or impatient with me.
Once we got paperwork going, it turned out that they got me an even better deal and pricing layout than I thought possible. I went back into the finance department where i met Becky, and she too was really amazing and friendly. She helped me pick out warranty and coverage that was right for ME, and never pushed me at all. All and all, I got my brand new gorgeous 2013 Silver Hyundai Accent Hatchback WITH 10 years of full coverage including towing, rental car if my car is out of service, GAPS, and TONS more, for only $ 25 more than I was paying for the lemon I had bought that was 6 years old, only had a 6 month warranty, and 57k miles on it. What a difference in service! The Sales Manager Jim came over and personally thanked me at the end, making sure everything went perfect to a T…
Please, if youre considering a Hyundai, consider trekking to Hyundai of Everett before deciding what to do. They will truly treat you like they want your business, and go above and beyond. :)

I have a 2012 Hyundai Accent and when I had my oil changed (not at the dealer) I had been informed that there was a small transmission fluid leak. So I made an appointment and had taken my car to the dealership in Kirkland. After the gentleman had looked at my car he told me that the leak was my fault so it wouldn’t be covered under warranty and it was going to cost almost $ 400. Since he told me it was still okay to drive, I continued to drive it for a while without getting it fixed because I didn’t want to spend the $ 400. However, next week I am driving to Yellowstone so I figured I should get it fixed before my trip and decided to try a different dealership.
That is when I called the Hyundai of Everett and they were able to get me in right away (the other dealers I called couldn’t see me for a week). A couple of hours after I dropped my car off they called me to tell me my car was finished. [I was very confused because the dealer in Kirkland had said they would have to order a part and it would take a day or 2.] They said it was just a gasket that needed replaced and that was done under warranty, they updated the software in my car’s computer, and gave me a voucher for a free car wash.
So let’s recap:
Hyundai of Kirkland was going to charge me $ 400 to fix the leak and it would take a couple of days.
Hyundai of Everett fixed the leak within a couple of hours and it cost me $ 0 and I got a free car wash.
Hmm…I thought Kirkland was supposed to be the nice city and Everett was supposed to be sketchy? I guess that’s not the case. Hyundai of Everett will be getting my business the next time I need my car looked at!

This by far is the best car dealership I’ve ever been too! I’ve purchased three cars from them and go in on a regular basis for maintenance.
Every time I pull up there is always a somebody (usually Chris or James, or that other guy… I forget his name Devin?) right away to great me and get me started on my oil change or whatever service im there for. I can even drop in last minute before they close if I think something might be wrong with my car, without hesitation they will check and either fix or schedule me for an appointment at my convenience!
All the staff here are wonderful and always have a smile, super friendly and HONEST! Which is great when looking for a new ride, since this can be stressful for most people. Sandy has helped me find exactly what Im looking for when I’ve come in looking for a new ride. She will talk things through with you and not try to sell you something that you cant afford or something you will regret once you drive off the lot.
Also the guys in the Parts Department (JC and Patrick) are very knowledgeable and just as helpful as the rest of the staff answering any questions you may have. If they dont have the answer, they will gladly point you into the direction of who can assist in helping you get the info you need.
I always recommend anybody looking for a good, reliable, affordable and low maintenance vehicle to check out Hyundai of Everett.
