My daughter was working for the promoter, do I decided to come support. I walked up to the bar and had three bartenders help people next to me and completely ignore me after waiting ten minutes I gave up trying to get a beer. It was n’t busy enough for me to have to wait that long to even be acknowledged

Like«Joe V’s» review(see below), I am not enthusiastic about Hayley’s Bar & Grill. I want to stress a very important point: I HAVEENTIRELYDIFFERENTREASONS for my poor view of Hayley’s. REVIEWOFTHEREVIEWER: ONEBLEEPINGSTAR. * «JoeV.» I take offense to Joe V’s one sided«report» of the events that occurred the night he went to Hayley’s. Joe V almost entirely bases this one-star review of an employee of Hayley’s(also named Joe), whose behavior did not meet up to Joe V’s sun, star and moon expectations nor did it reach low enough to kiss Joe V’s azz. I personally know the man who Joe V dragged through the mud in his review. This man, a United States Marine, is one of North Everett’s much-loved and well-known icons. He is a humble, quiet man. A man who takes care of others. Joe is a hard working, dependable employee of Hayley’s both NOW, as well as when the establishment was«Jimmy Z’s». Why has he been kept on at this establishment as long as he has? Because he is a top-notch staff member. PERIOD. While on the clock,(and even when OFF the clock) Joe is so invested in his job that unless you are a serious people watcher, you may not even know he’s there. Joe lost his wife. The mother of his daughter passed away quickly and without warning. Who wouldn’t be affected by a loss of that magnitude? Even the most rational, soft spoken, and genteel of society do not act in their usual manner when struck by such a tragedy in their personal lives. People in deep states of mourning are not likely to act themselves. So, «JOE V», your review of Hayley’s Bar & Grill was not so much a review of an establishment as it was a rant about a person that you know NOTHINGABOUT. I noticed that you do frequent a large number of bars in the north end. I’m wondering if perhaps you had a few drinks along with your dinner that night. It only takes one drink to cause an accident. Sometimes it only takes one drink to skew the night’s events in your own mind so that YOU come out smelling like a rose. And damn it, why are you making me defend Hayley’s? I HATETHATPLACE! You’re RIGHT about Tony V’s being the better of the two bars. Your review, however, spent a total of three short, brief comments on Hayley’s and four quite LENGTHY paragraphs bashing Joe. Save it for MySpace.(That’s right. MySpace, not Facebook, since your review should be sent to the graveyard of social sites.) I also made note of the date of your review. You wrote this review for Unilocal on a TUESDAY. I do NOT believe that the events of the night in question occurred on a weekend night. You said yourself that the bar was near empty and Tony V’s was closed, which further advances my belief. Had you been there on a weekend night, Joe would have been too busy working to waste his time on you and Tony V’s would have been open. Why, you ask, would Hayley allow a staff member to drink at the bar at which he is employed? First of all, those who know Joe think of him as FAMILY. He would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. I have known Joe for seven years, and I have not ONCE seen him treat another human being badly. The only time he is confrontational are at times when he’s PROTECTING someone. Joe’s friends and associates feel the same way about HIM: WEPROTECTHIM if he is going through crises, and we rise to his defense when others talk smack about him without due cause. The owner and bar staff at Hayley’s were within their right to serve Joe when he was off the clock, and they wanted him there to watch over him as he was going through such a difficult time in his life. Also: Joe does not drive, so he does not endanger others by drinking and getting behind the wheel. Are you as careful?(I’m wagering you are not.) Next time you want to write a review of an establishment, bear two things in mind: 1. The review is supposed to be about the ESTABLISHMENT, not a PERSON who you felt intimidated by. 2. Do not write blindly, unknowing of the circumstances which surrounded the event, which is what you did. Remember that the people you meet in life could be walking a very dark and lonely path, and at such times may act out of character. 3. You, also, had at least one drink while at Hayley’s. I have to wonder how that messed with your perception of reality. I’ve never seen Joe bother anyone who did not give him ample reason to. Did you write selectively? Your review is 100% unreliable and without merit. You typed a lengthy diatribe, not about Hayley’s, but about your own bruised ego. My sincerest apologies are sent to Joe, of Hayley’s Bar & Grill. A man who fought for our country, and a man who is so gentle that I entrusted my Shih Tzu into his care when I had to leave town for a weekend. (Such an awful man? In Joe V’s own words, «REALLY??? SERIOUSLY??» Yeah, he’s so villainous I left my beloved 12 lb. dog in his care. Come on, Joe. If you don’t have a clue then at least buy a vowel.) –Paula Wear

I have been to hayleys on several occasiona and i have been noticing the changes they are trying to make. Hayleys bar and grill doesnt so much cater to the metal community anymore which is awesome. now i can go in there and have a good time without the head ache. They have really friendly staff which i love! They have this awesome DJ who plays music we can actually dance too. Infact the last couple times i have been in there the dance floor has been pretty steady with people the whole night. I do believe hayleys is going to be my new favorite place to hang out and bring my friends. We love a place we can hang out have some drinks and dance without drama and issues. Thanks Hayley’s For making these awesome changes so that we can have a place to go. :)

We went kind of early, so we were the only people there. The service was very friendly, but I don’t think he was the normal bartender. They have all of the flavors of Pinnacle Vodka, if you like that kind of thing. I do, so I ordered the Buttercream Martini. It was quite delightful! My friend had the chocolate razz sorbet, it was good. The food was only so-so. The pickle chips had an interesting texture, but were inedible because they were so salty. We also had the nachos with chicken. The chicken had a slightly odd texture and there wasn’t quite enough cheese to hold it all together. It looks like a fun place if there were more people. We might try it again.

This is an old school heavy metal bar. No thrills, just loud music and cheap, strong drinks. We decided to grab a drink before a concert at the Comcast Arena. This is not a place I would take a date or expect a well made drink. If you you want to get you drink on… then swing by.

One of the only reasons i would go back to this place is because the drink specials are ridiculously cheap. 3 $ wells. OK! I ended up here with some girlfriends before a concert we were going to, and apparently every other person in Everett had the same idea because this place was packed! Fortunately we got the last table in the very back of the bar, but still ended up standing at the bar waiting for drinks. Our server informed us that if we wanted to eat it probably wouldn’t be ready within an hour or so. Good thing we weren’t hungry or anything! I would definitely describe this as a dive bar and i don’t plan on going back willingly, unless it’s the last resort, like it was this day!

We’ve dropped in a here a few times after a string of bar-hopping. never have had a problem or disappointment. They allowed us to have a quick shot even after last call was called for them, their drinks are always good and their fries(hand-cut) are to DIE for! They have pool tables and I just enjoy people watching :) Usually this place is the end to our nights.

Haley’s is that its the table in high school where all the«different kids» sat at. I live down town and when the weather is right bar crawl the Hewitt strip often. maybe I’m by-est because i had been going into Jimmy Z’s scenes i was 16. I really don’t know how this place survives. the staff are strange at best and usually drunk and looking for a fight. The bartender reminds me of a(not quite Dog the bounty hunter) style douche ie. the mullet, the handcuffs, the pepper spray and retractable asp on his utility belt. he gets very aggressive if you mention them or make fun of them. the Door guy«security» is an ass who will shine a super bright flash light in your eyes every time you come in. did i mention he’s an ass. Hayley her self doesn’t want to talk to you and makes it clear that she don’t care what you have to say. the drinks are over priced and food sucks. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE. I ended up here the other night, partly because we are looking for a new hang out walking distance from our house, and partly because Tony V’s was closed. I sat at the bar and ordered food; bartender was cool. Only a couple people in the entire bar. There were two guys, drunk as could be, arm in arm having quite the Bromance while I waited for my food. As it turns out they were both employees. Once my food arrived I took it to a table so I could watch the band. Burger was good, the fried pickles were terrible, very thin and mostly fried batter. Some weird lady came at sat close to me and wouldn’t leave me alone while I ate; so much for enjoying my meal and the band. I left my food(I had enough anyway) and retreated back to the bar to enjoy my beer. I decided to play pool but my table was missing a ball so I took one from the table next to me where no one had been playing for quite a while. Well here comes one of the drunk employees and SNATCHES up the ball and proceeds to be a huge prick and threatens to have me thrown out.(Apparently that was«his» table that I took the ball from, even though he hadn’t been playing on there for some time.) He acts like he wants to fight and YELLS for other employees to rush to his side and have me thrown out. The others dash over, take him aside and surely tell him to quite being such a drunken jerk, and they find me a different ball. Really? Seriously? You let your WASTED employees not only hang around the bar trashed, but allow them to try to start fights with customers? The inebriated employee was Joe. The two other people he called over were Jon and Haley, I assume the owner? They were both very cool and apologized for Joe. But seriously? Liquored up employees starting fights? So that is my experience here. This place is very tacky and trashy. Guess that is why it was so empty. I won’t ever be back and I highly recommend you stay away from this place, you aren’t missing anything. I do recommend Tony V’s right next door. They have better music, awesome food, no missing pool balls, no crazy people ruining your time and definitely no sloshed employees stumbling around messing with customers. Its too bad too, I wanted to like this place. My girl and I love to go out, eat, drink, and play pool often, but we will stick to our other regular places. Sorry Haley, your boozed up employee is losing you business.

I love Haley’s! Super fun! Great Karaōke/$ 2 Tuesdays with Shadow as the EMCEE. Stage is awesome! Good for live music too on Fridays(maybe if you’re lucky you’ll catch a SUPERFEKTA show)!!! Definitely one of my favorite Everett hot spots. I always take people from out of town there. Love it!

Went with some friends who live up here. Had a decent time. Was VERY impressed when the cute bartender cut my REALLY drunk friend off. Thanks, and not in a sarcastic way! I’ve rarely seen someone get cut off, good call Guy! As far as the bar goes, it’s a little hole in wall, decent drinks, darts, big screen… Not bad. A little small, but overall: good deal.

This bar is actually called Hayley’s Bar & Grill. They are family owned and operated. Hayley is behind the bar at least twice a week and loves socializing with here patrons. They have live music 3 – 5 days a week on a huge stage. Full kitchen that is open late. Good drinks and a comfortable environment.

Decent place — Liked the drinks — went here to see a show. I did not eat here so I am no help with that. Jello shots did not seem to contain very much alcohol — I wish that I would have found this out before I bought a ton of them… Oh well — other than that I enjoyed myself!
