I specialize in stress reduction, chronic pain management and hot stone massage. I also do deep massage which differs from Deep Tissue Massage in that I work with the muscles to reduce muscle tightness.

History

Established in 2003.

I started my massage business in 2003 after graduating from Body Mind Academy. When I retired from teaching Spanish and Business Education, I received a plaque with the inscription Generous Hands are Blessed Hands. After 6 years of working at a day spa in Mukilteo, I was invited to come to Antonio Melani Salon and Spa in 2010.

In 2002 I decided to retire from teaching after 29 years. I was experiencing increased pain in my neck and shoulders which lead me to seek chiropractic care. The doctor suggested that I see his massage practitioner who was able to release the tension in my neck. As I shared with her regarding the burn out I was experiencing, she recommended that I look into becoming a massage practitioner. After much soul searching, I decided to hang up my teaching career and go into massage. I have been able to use my teaching skills to help my clients understand why massage is an important choice for its health benefits.
