History
Established in 1956.
Our family business started out as a gas station with an outside lift in 1956. By 1962, my father had built five more bays, as well as a transmission tear down and rebuilding area. I started working for my father in 1974, at the age of 16. I worked with my father and his techs until 1994, when he retired and I took over. Today, we employ six technicians– all with many years of training and experience. Our shop is proud to be affiliated with the non-profit organization known as the Automatic Transmission Rebuilder Association (ATRA). As an ATRA member our automatic transmission repair shop adheres to the service and repair definitions which are a part of the ATRA bylaws and code of ethics.
Meet the Business Owner
Alan D.
Business Owner
I started work at Everett Transmission in 1974, the day I turned 16, after returning from the registry of motor vehicles to get my driver’s license. I began as a remover and installer of transmissions, soon got involved in the tear down procedures, and then the rebuilding of the units. I have personally rebuilt over 10,250 transmissions. I have been the owner of Everett Transmission for 14 years. Transmission are not a job to me, they have been in my life day and night for over 40 years. My hobbies revolve mostly around mechanical things like instance motorcycles, go fast boats, ski mobiles, dirt bikes, Corvettes and Porsches.
