DBS Indoor Paintball Arena

We just came from having my Son’s 10^th Birthday here, totally worth every penny spent for the private two hr session. Jeff was awesome with the boys!!! So professional with making sure the boys were following the safety rules while playing, yet able to interact with the boys on their level making them laugh and have a good time even while playing on teams against eachother. I will be recommending this place to all of my friend’s and family. And we will definitely be hosting more parties here as well as coming in for open sessions. Once again Awesome place!!! Thank you staff for making my Son Jacob’s Birthday Amazing!!!

Hands down on of the best paintball fields around. Family friendly and the staff is very helpful and knowledge.

wayyyy to expensive and they kept on thinking our group had yellow paint — and all the employees treated us like crap. In the end they found out it was another group and what happens? No apology. So unprofessional.

Some friends and I from Church go together and tried this place out. It was my first time and I enjoyed it. All of us seemed to have a really good time.
We went on a Friday night. There were plenty of people there to play in the open matches. At times it actually seemed like there were too many people. That’s just my opinion though.
If you don’t have equipment don’t worry, they can rent or sell you everything you need. I think it came out to about $ 50 per person for our group and that included everything, paint balls, guns, masks. It did not include extra armor which cost extra if you you are trying to avoid the sting of being hit. Note, this is field paint only, so if you have your own gear, leave your paint balls at home, you’re going to have to buy their paint balls. There were children there playing too. Parking was ample.

I took my 8 year old son to Doodlebug last Saturday along with a friend to play in the kids game they run every few weeks. They had 10 kids all ages 12 and under and they had a blast. I’ve been playing paintball for years and its great my son gets to start playing with low impact paintball they have. Chris was awesome with the kids, keeping the games rolling and taking care of everything. They had pizza and drinks afterwards, a great way to end a morning of paintball.
My son has already asked when the next kids day is :)

Both of my brothers had birthday parties at DBS, one at the outdoor field in Snohomish & one here at the indoor field.
My mom is very «needy» (to put it nicely) when it comes to party planning & the guys here were happy to answer every question she had! They took care of every single detail. Danny & Dusty made it really enjoyable for all of the kids in the party & were sure everyone knew the safety rules & how to use their guns. It was really fun for everyone & we will definitely go back!

Great place to play paintball. I’ve played at many different facilities across the country and this is one of the best. It’s a nice, clean, well-​run experience. They provide a wide variety of options for every skill level, from open play days for those trying out paintball to Thursday night sessions for more competitive players. If you’re looking to up your game, definitely check out the league nights at DoodleBug — one of the very coolest deals out there.

We were sadly disappointed with our visit to doodlebugs. I took my son and his 2 friends, they play at our local field in mount vernon often and were looking forward to trying a new place

We had my son’s 10^th birthday party a few weeks ago at the DoodleBug Sportz indoor arena. The crew there was friendly and patient with a rowdy group of boys on a very early Sunday morning. I definitely recommend this for a boy’s birthday party, but I would recommend making sure that all participants wear many layers of clothes to protect them from the potential welts that can occur.

We recently (May 2013) hosted our daughter’s sweet 16^th birthday party at DoodlebugSportz as paintballing was what she wanted specifically. Due to the size of the planned invite list we ended up having to go with the Corporate Party as it made more sense to rent the facility for a truly private event of 50 teens and pre-​teens running around with loaded paintball guns. We were also allowed to bring in commercial grade popcorn and cotton candy machines.
Getting the initial reservation set up and scheduled was more difficult than one would hope, it turns out talking to the folks at the Pro Shop, Dwayne especially, isn’t helpful because in turn, they have to have someone from the Indoor Arena who has the authority to book a party call you back. A suggestion would be an online reservation system.
However, once booked and set up, the guys up at the Indoor Arena truly rock. They were very good with the large party of mostly teenage girls (44 gals to 6 guys) and even with our special needs son. Highly recommend Doodlebug and definitely returning.

I’ve been hooked on paintball for almost 13 whole months now, and I’ve played at a bunch of locations In WA, CA, NV, and BC.
DoodleBug Sportz indoor is easily the finest indoor arena I’ve seen.
The pace is great — you play a lot of games and don’t have to wait very long between them.
The refs are great — they keep the games moving and keep everyone safe. They also split the teams so that most of your games will be evenly split by skill (after the ref has seen the people play a few games).
The facilities are great — very clean. The field can get a little slick after a lot of games, but the field is cleaned often and raked even more frequently. I’ve never seen another indoor field kept so clean. The restrooms are clean. The off-​field area is clean and has a lot of room for spectating and sticking your gear.
The rest of the staff is helpful and very knowledgeable.
Very kid-​friendly! I wish I’d been around this type of place as a kid. They have private parties with special smaller-​caliber paint (hurts less). Party rooms, two fields!

DBS is the premier paintball location in the NW! Best customer service, competitive prices, and much more, What sets them apart from the rest of the paintball parks in the NW is the level of knowledge of the employees that work there. Pro Player Dusty and Danny Cort are more than willing to help you no matter your experience level. They have a GREAT selection of gear in their pro shop, and if they dont have it in their store, they will make sure you end up with that marker or part! This place is a MUST if you are into paintball or NEW. They have a Low impact paintball for the younger kids who might me worried about the impact of the paintballs. They also offer paintball lazer tag in their private parties! If you want to check out paintball make sure you check out DBS!!!

My son is currently stationed in the NW and on my visit there in April, he wanted to get to DBS to try out the open play on a Wednesday night. Happened to be that he met someone in the parking lot that came to be someone he continues to play with and that DBS has become his fav hangout place when he’s off work.
Great facility. There is no comparison to the three places I have been to in Kansas City Missouri area.
I appreciate the friendliness of all that were there the first night he visited.

I’ve been coming to DBS weekly since summer of 2008, when I moved to WA. Saw the old place burn down, saw the new place being reborn. And what a difference that is! No more doodle sludge, the new turf is great (and washed regularly) although it is more slippery than grass. Wear cleats! The new field is lighted so much better — no more dark corners. The new staging area is much bigger and better. The new place absolutely rocks! It is truly a luxurious facility! And it is indoor so you don’t care if it’s raining or freezing outside!
Highly recommended, it IS the place to play paintball!
A bit of advice: if you are a tournament player — Thursday is your night. Ramping is allowed (no full auto as someone said). Wednesdays are less intense, the other days are even less so.
I cannot emphasize enough — IT IS INDOOR! The only indoor place in WA. So you don’t depend on natural lighting or good weather. Thursday 6 – 9 pm is the highlight of my week!

I love this place! My boyfriend and I went on a fun date there the other night and had a blast! It was my first time playing paintballand didn’t know the rules. The customer service was great and know what they where talking about.
Even though I got my butt kicked this is a great place to let out some anger and have fun at the same time!

One day my girlfriend says to me she’d like to try paintballing. She thinks it’d be «fun».
Well, when a woman says she’d like to do something involving 1) guns (albeit paint guns) and 2) shooting her with said guns, you just take her. You just GO.
I’ve been paintballing several times in my life and am accustomed to what the sport involves. It has always been a fun experience, and I can say the same here. My girlfriend also enjoyed her visit.
I felt the admission and rental prices were fair (keep in mind paintballing is not a cheap hobby) and the staff was pretty cool and helpful. Upon arrival, I was worried that the crowd would be pretty weak (this was a weekday). Soon after though, about half a dozen regulars showed up and made the experience more rewarding. Later, the place got even more crowded with another large group.
The playing field is in good shape for what it is– an old warehouse with astroturf and obstacles. The break area where people hang out between matches is also adequate, not pretty, but adequate and functional (if you’re like 12, you’ll get a kick out of shooting the room up when none of the referees are looking!).
I only have one complaint. The referees explain an awful lot of rules to you, but they don’t always go enforced. Specifically, there is to be no shooting in between matches at anything other than designated shooting spots. Several times did I witness bored «pros» firing at anything they felt like down the field, while everyone from the last match was trying to walk to the start line. There was also a ridiculous incident of friendly-​fire BEFORE the match began in which someone was firing across a path that people were walking and (you don’t say!?) hit one of them.
Advice: Bring your own snacks and DO bring liquids or at least a cup so you can drink from the sink.
Note: All the players, newbs and regulars alike, (except friendly-​fire kid) were very courteous, good sports, and not nearly as scary and mean as they look.
All in all, a great 3 hour experience and we will definitely be going back.

Doodlebug is a pretty good place to ball… mainly because you don’t have to drive for an hour to play. The refs pretty much match up teams pretty equal between seasoned pros and newbies. I did get shot in the nuts her though, so that wasn’t cool. The hard thing about indoor ball is that everything is covered in paint, and the fake turf flooring has holes and areas that is coming up. paint + cement + fat kid running = sliding and pulling groin and hilarity for those who is watching. The staff here is pretty cool too. I do however lover their outdoor field in snohomish!

So we braved the snow and ice yesterday to attend a private birthday party, it was well worth the effort to get up to Everett to get our collective asses shot at! Granted I’m moving a lot slower today…
I haven’t been paint ball’n in years and the last time I went I was a bit tipsy and couldn’t feel much below my neck, booze has a way of doing that to me.
So, this time around, I’m with a bunch of 13 – 14 hyped up punks, gun’n for my hide. I will say this 3 adults VS 7 – 8 paintball pro kids, is NOT a fair fight.
The Ref mixed up the games and teams and for an hour and a half we had a blast! $ 35 per head and enough balls to get your Rambo on, this also is a great reason to take it easy today on the sofa, ugh…
For our fee we were given a decent gun, a bag of balls, a face mask and as much CO2 we could expend through the gun.
Rambo, eat your heart out… and like the Terminator, we’ll be back!

This is an excellently run paintball arena. Much easier than driving out to Marysville or anything from Seattle to go play in the mud. Although that can be fun too sometimes…

In the past two weeks I’ve already gone to DBS Indoor Arena three times (once last week friday, again last friday, and today). So obviously DBS is doing something right. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful at all times and no matter who is working, and good attitudes is very important in paintball. The crowd both friday and saturday is good, although I’ll admit saturday’s crowd is a bit more intense than friday night’s crowd. But thursday night (as I’m told) is definitely the tournament crowd which allows ramping and full auto firing… so definitely not a night to visit for newer players.
Anyway the main reason i’m writing this update is because the new turf is in. And it’s AWESOME! Not slippery, doesn’t leave the «doodlebug sludge/​goo» all over your clothes. Just awesome. The goo/​sludge still remains in the staging area and indoor shop, but the new turf on the field is a vast improvement. They also change the field layout weekly. I highly recommend DBS indoor for both new and seasoned PB players.
