Got my son’s graduation cake… absolutely wonderful. .never disappointed in anything I have purchased there!

I ordered a 3 layer celtics cake and 48 cupcakes for a babyshower and everything was perfect. The customer service was amazing and the cake was delicious. This is now my go to bakery.

After reading reviews on Unilocal,I decided to try Continental Bakery. I needed a cake for the next day. The woman who took the order over the phone was very helpful & helped me select the cake I needed. I ordered the small yellow layer cake with coconut & pineapple. When I picked it up the next morning, I saw how nice the bakery is. It is over flowing with mouth watering traditional pastries, cakes, pies & bread. Besides the cake, I had to get a slice of their freshly made bakery pizza. I got the cheese & it was awesome. (I’m embarrassed to say it was gone before I got home :) The cake was the best. These bakers have nailed done the perfect consistency & flavor for the cake & frosting. Moist but light & just the right amount of sweetness. It shows that they have worked hard at perfecting their pastry craft. The woman who served me was delightful. She even asked me to choose the slice of pizza from the pan. That is a simple pleasure I have not been given in along time.

Ordinary Italian bakery with assorted baked goods available inside. I went in to order a birthday cake and the person who helped me was named Judy. She was very helpful and approached me to ask if I needed help when I was browsing their cake display. The strawberry vanilla shortcake looked very enticing and Judy was helpful in helping me decide. I picked up the cake the next day. We surprised the birthday girl with the cake and it tasted wonderful. The strawberries were juicy and sweet and the strawberry layer inside the cake delicious Finished it in few days.
Tip: Order day before to give them time to bake it well.

LOVE LOVE THEM… Best cakes ever!!! Gabby did our wedding cake in 2013. EXCATLY WHAT WE WANTED!!! This year on 9÷5÷15 she made our God daughter’s sweet 15 cake… AMAZING!!! Delish!!!

needed 60 cupcakes the very next day for an event, spoke to the manger Gaby who was so helpful and made it happen. This bakery is clean and the cupcakes were sooooo delicious. It was a hit at the event with the kids and the staff. Definitely would order from them again.

Almond Macaroons and the plain Macaroons are always great. The strawberry with chocolate dip is very huge and fresh. My next stop whenever I go to see my friend in Everett. Would recommend people to try this local bakery.

Unfortunately I have to write this review and only give two stars based on my most recent experience with this bakery. I will say that I have used this bakery many times in the past for customized cake ordering and have never had an issue until today. I placed an order for a cake and the girl who was taking the order was not paying any attention to me. She didn’t ask me anything about how I wanted the cake to look and she was rushing through taking the order. Still, i placed the order because it was a fairly simple cake and I trusted that they would do a good job as they have in the past.
The next day, I got a call from Continental Bakery saying that I never picked up my cake. Well, thats because I placed the order for a cake to pick up a week from now and the girl who took the order put down the wrong pick up date. Instead of apologizing to me for the mistake and assuring me they would make a new cake for next week, the person on the phone treated it as if I made the mistake.
I had to cancel the order after this experience because I was afraid that they will just place the cake in the freezer for a week until I pick it up.
I would recommend training your staff to be more attentive to the customers. When someone places a cake order they should be confident that the cake will be fresh and ready on the date requested instead of having to worry that the order is incorrect because the order was rushed.
I will be taking my business to Elm Street Bakery from now on.

Been going here for years. Pies for Thanksgiving, cakes for special occasions, and pastries. Every time it has been great and fresh. Elm St bakery in Everett is good, but Continental is definitely better. Never had a bad experience. This is my go-​to place for baked goods.

When the cakes are fresh and well-​made, they are a 4 star bakery! However, the inconsistency of their cakes is a huge problem. We often order cakes for special occasions and of late we have found them previously frozen, incorrect, poorly decorated, or, as was the case yesterday, missing an entire layer so half way throughout cutting the cake fell over. We have addressed some of these issues with the owner, and she simply tries to mend things by offering a discount or remade cake… that is really not the point. She clearly has some inept individuals working for her, and the quality of the place is suffering because of them. These cakes aren’t cheap and a messed up or lousy cake ruins an otherwise happy occasion. It’s both unprofessional and inconsiderate to run a business in this manner. I keep ordering and saying I’ll give it one more try… this was the last time I’ll do that.

Lately it seems like the changed the size and the price. The taste isn’t as good as it used to. The tiramisu is still the best in the area.

«Looks aren’t everything» kinda sums up my impression of this particular confectionery establishment. While the glass windows and panes encapsulate some of the most delicious looking desserts your cavity-​filled teeth may desire, the end results just were not that great. The baked items were decent, just a bit overpriced for their quality =/

I tried every. single. pastry in here. Now that I have moved away, I hold all bakeries to the Continental Bakery standard. If you are in the Boston area, go there. Go there now.

Best cake I have had in a long time! I can’t believe I have never stopped here before. Place is super clean and people were very helpful and I was in and out very quickly. They don’t take Amex, FYI. I will never go anywhere else for cakes, cookies or treats of any kind. Shop local!

Love the mini cannolis. Nice, crunchy shell! Cool selection of cupcake flavors, too.

AWESOME cupcakes! Their vanilla cupcake (both cake and frosting) are so good and they’re only 85 cents! How can you beat that? They have other cupcake flavors too and they’re all great.
I did get a half moon once, and it wasn’t good — kinda stale. But the cupcakes are consistently good. With the prices you can’t go wrong!

I ordered my wedding cake from Continental Bakery and I found the whole process to be stress-​free. I called ahead to find out if I needed an appointment and was pleased to find out I could come in any time the wedding cake specialist was there. So, the day I wanted to go in, I just called in to make sure she was there. I was able to go after work. We tried several cakes and chose the strawberry short cake. I was so pleased with the cake. It was so moist and the frosting was delicious. My guests loved it as well. I would highly recommend them for wedding cakes. The cheese cake is great too!

Oh Continental Bakery, please move to FL and open up a store!
I’m so addicted to their cookies. I’m having withdrawals now that I’m home.
I was able to walk to this bakery from where I was staying. I got a lb of cookies on my first trip and a chocolate cannoli. Second trip was to take home more cookies and cannoli’s.
I believe the cookies were close to $ 8lb and the cannolis were like $ 1.70? Not bad prices compared to the non Italian bakery here. They charge over $ 12 for a lb of non Italian cookies. blah!
They do make specialty cakes, they did have a few displayed. I wasn’t able to try their cakes or pies. I am trying to convince my brother to send me a lb of cookies a week! lol!
This was the first place I hit when I came to town. I’d defiantly go back!

If you want something a bit more rich get the Tiramisu cup. Soooo good.

I loved the mini slice of chocolate cake, but the frosted brownie was pretty dry and the M&M cookie was absolutely hard as a rock. The service was fast and very nice and the prices were extremely reasonable. I’ll definitely be back for cake and maybe I’ll give the other items another chance. It might have just been an off day???
