Chill Out First Class Transportation Services

Excellent experience! Al was our driver. Prompt, polite, and a super nice car. I warned him ahead of time that we would need to install our car seats and it was super fast using LATCH connectors in the car. Communication was excellent and the price was right. I can’t think of anything that could have gone better!

Used Chill Out for our transportation from the cruise ship into downtown Boston. Our diver Al was very nice, easy to communicate with via text, and was there waiting to pick us up. He was also very accommodating when our ship docked later than anticipated.
The car Al drove was clean and his fares were very reasonable.
I would you Chill Out again if ever back in the Boston area.

Al picked us himself… At 6AM, no less… he was there early, the Mercedes was in excellent shape and clean and he got us to our hotel safely and without incident… Would definitely hire him again… Thanks, Al!

I should have written a review a long time ago, because Al is seriously the best. We have used Chill Out Cab several times, usually for early morning flights, and Al always gets to our house in JP on time, though usually early. This morning I had to leave for the airport at 3:45, and he was there, no problem. And he is a super nice guy.

I’ve been calling Al and Chill Out for the last five years and their service is EXCELLENT. They always arrive early at any hour (day or night), drive carefully, and get you where you need to go. By far the best cab company in Boston. You can text Al the day before and he’ll be waiting for you even if your flight is bright and early! Why deal with cab companies that never show up, have dirty cars or horrible drivers? Chill Out First Class Cab is perfect — very clean luxury cars, professional and knowledgeable drivers and they’re very reliable. AWESOME TAXI ALERT!!!
Ever since we moved to Boston four years ago, we were lucky enough to find and use Chill Out First Class Taxi. Al, the owner, is über friendly, always on time (10 mins early, actually), helps with the luggage and knows all ins and outs of driving in this crazy city. His also charges a very competitive fee. Every time he arrives in his well cared for black Lincoln town car, you feel like you are about to enter a spa. Book your trips with him in advance by texting the time and place, because he gets booked fast. I’ll never give my business to any other taxi company in Boston as long as I have Al.

Al was early, helped with the luggage and took my mom and I to south station for a good flat rate. I’ve saved his number and will be using him for all future trips. I actually just scheduled two pick-​up/​drop-​offs for this upcoming week and it’s great to know I can count on someone reliable for my transportation needs.

Texted Al on Wednesday if I could make a reservation on Friday at 2:30 pm from cambridge to Logan airport. I texted him my whole details about my address: street name, cambridge, MA, zip code. Quickly enough got the confirmation– nice. And he told me that the flat rate would be $ 35 — okay, if I took the ordinary cab it would be like $ 40 something. that would save me like $ 5.
Friday 2:30– no cab appeared. What!!!
Friday 2:35– I texted and called. No text back. Nobody picked up the phone. Really!!!
Friday 2:45– Finally reached Al. He said the driver went to another zone that had the same street name. Dude, not a good try, as I sent you three times my whole address. I ordered stuff online frequently, I know how to avoid that kind of situation and every time my stuff shipped to my place safe and sound. I told Al that whether I could get the cab or not? As I could not afford to waste any time. If he couldn’t make it just say it straight so I wouldn’t keep waiting and I would call for some other cab.
He said he would ask the driver to go to my place within 15mins.
Around 3:00pm — cab arrived. Very dirty inside. I felt sorry for my baggage as they all got dirty as well. Driver was a nice person.
3:50pm — arrived at Logan Airport Terminal C. The flat rate was $ 35 and I gave the driver $ 40.
Sum up: the cab should of came at 2:30, and sent me to the airport at 3:00pm.
But I actually waited until 3:00pm for the cab. And it got me to my destination around 4:00pm. Almost an hour late than the schedule.
Never would I make reservation from you no more. Thank you.

He was on top of it! I texted to see of he could pick me up 6:15 on a Weds (day of) and he texted me he was booked… but gave me a number for two cabbies I can try. Got a dispatcher on the first try, and was saved!

This is the worst cab experience I have. The cab is murmuring and scratching his back and his seat during the drive. I told the driver I’m going to concord the day before, but he doesn’t even know how to spell concord on the GPS. The window is broken and it’s a rainy day. The cat doesn’t seem very clean. The GPS was super loud. He told me it was $ 75 the day before, but ending charging me $ 80

The driver picked us up on time and got us there much faster than the taxi service I used before. He seemed to know the area very well, as he didn’t need a GPS to get to my sublet in Brighton or to my dorm in Cambridge. AND! He charged a very reasonable $ 25, in contrast to the $ 45 the other taxi service had me pay for the same trip.
The icing on top of the already well-​baked cake is that the driver was a friendly, good guy and the car he took us in was pretty classy compared to most cabs.

Sad to say I had a very similar experience to Carolyn S. Scheduled a 5AM pickup to the airport for a 6am flight. It was a debacle just to schedule the pickup (he never replied to my text request, he said his texts «weren’t working» so I had to call separately to confirm it).
Then when pickup time came around I was outside 5 mins early. Nobody there, 5am passes, then 505. I call at 510. He asks where I am and when I say «waiting outside» he says oh I missed you itll be 15 mins. 15 minutes??? Complete BS story, clearly he didn’t wake up on time. No apology, he just asks what time my flight is and then asks me what time it currently is (umm shouldn’t he know this?) and says that he thinks there is still plenty of time for him to get me. NO THANKs! I cancel and call a cab which arrives promptly 3 mins after I call.
I’ve used Chill Out before and it has usually been a good experience but I’ve noticed the poor (see: late) service the last 2 times I’ve used it. Interestingly the change in service came when we started getting a new driver. I suspect the company was sold as I’ve been dealing with this different person on all the correspondence and drives the last 2 times I’ve used it.
I’d caution anyone that is considering them for an early morning flight– look at the review from Carolyn S and others below– there is clearly an issue here with making early morning pickups.

I’ve used these guys twice to catch 6am flights and both times they were exactly on time. Usually when I catch early morning flights to the airport the only thing that concerns me is the cab arrives on time, so to my pleasant surprise the first time I used this service, the car that picked me up was a black towncar. It was the same price as a regular taxi but much nicer! Second time I got a taxi, but still had superb service (driver got out to help load bags, very nice guy). Apparently whether you get a towncar or regular taxi is just luck of the draw depending in the taxis in the area. Not sure if you can request one.
My only concern the first time was the taxi didn’t call me when he was downstairs, I had to call dispatch to confirm. The second time though they confirmed my reservation via text message right after I called and texted me when the taxi arrived.
All in all great service!

Arranged for an early morning pick up, and I was outside looking around at least 2 minutes before the agreed upon time. After it had been 3 – 4 minutes after the pick up time, I texted the cab company. According to the person who answered, the driver had picked someone up already. Well that’s great, but they didn’t pick me up, and I have a train to catch! I then have to ask if he’ll send someone else, and he says he’ll try. This is not the right answer.
I run around the block, to a busier street to try and see if I can hail a cab. I’m pregnant, and I was specifically trying to not have to put extra strain on myself by taking a cab. Will never use this company again. Glad it works for other people.

Making an appointment with this cab service made me realize how terrible all the other services in Boston have been! I thought I was guaranteed to get screwed over no matter which company I called, but Chill Out gave me phenomenal service and has definitely earned a returning customer.
Not only did my driver arrive exactly when scheduled — not a minute early or a minute late — but he was pretty relaxed, and even made jokes during the drive (which were actually funny!). The car they send is a black unmarked sedan, flawlessly clean, and they keep the passenger seat pushed all the way up to give you plenty of leg room. The driver played NPR on medium-​low volume, but he didn’t talk on the phone at the same time, so I got to enjoy the radio and have a nice chat with my driver, which was a pleasant change from the usual cab service in Boston.
The driver took me directly to my destination by the shortest/​fastest route. There was no meter in the car, so he asked me what I usually pay when going from my start point to my destination. Having never made the trip by cab before, I said I didn’t know — and he suggested a $ 10 flat fee. This felt like a huge bargain given the quality of the ride (I actually did feel ‘chilled out’ by the time I arrived at work), and I’d estimate that another cab company would have charged upward of $ 20 for the same trip (as I’ve done shorter rides with companies like Ambassador Brattle and Top Cab that cost $ 17 – 25). Gave him a 50% tip, which tbh, I would have done even had the price been higher/​for a longer trip, and even though I usually can’t afford to pay more than 15% tip on anything. But this … this was phenomenal service.
I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Can you give six stars? Seriously. Excellent.

I hate cabs in Boston. I also hate calling cabs in Boston, cause I’m always convinced they won’t show up or screw me over somehow.
Rewind to last Friday– I had a 6:45am flight and I had no choice but to get a taxi, since the subway wouldn’t open in time and I wouldn’t ask any of my friends to give me a ride at 5am on a work day :-). After reading through all the Unilocal reviews, I finally decided on Chill Out First Class Cab.
I called him and he seemed a bit confused about my address, which made me nervous. But 30 seconds after I hung up, he texted me confirmation with time (5:15am) and address! Made me feel much more confident. I read some of the reviews that mentioned he got there early, so I made it outside around 5am. A minute or two later, he pulled up! The ride to the airport was quick, and his car (which was black, not a traditional ‘taxi’) was nice inside. He was friendly and drove quickly but safely. The rate was $ 40 flat rate from Cambridge including luggage and toll, which is a bit more expensive than meter rides to the airport that I’ve taken (by about $ 5), but is definitely nice if there is a lot of traffic or the ride is slower than normal.
I’ll definitely be using him again on early airport rides. He told me to text or call him in the future to set up another trip!

I needed an early morning (5am) ride to Logan, and searched Unilocal for a solution. Seeing that two former community managers rated this taxi service so highly, I decided to trust.
And so glad I did.
Not only was Al friendly and fast, he stuck to the $ 35 flat rate even though I live in Newton.
I’ve got him programmed into my phone, and I’ve shared the contact with all my friends with the note «mention Unilocal,get $ 35 flat rate to/​from airport.»
Nuff said.
ps. He did mention that he does take reservations, so call ahead if you know you need an early morning ride!
