History

Established in 2006.

Judit Gaspar established her business to bring all forms of dance and art together in the Boston area.

Meet the Manager

Judit Gaspar J.

Manager

Judit, a native of Hungary was 14 years old when she got introduced to ballroom dancing. She joined the local Dance Team called Savaria Dance Sport Team. Savaria rose to the top and became undefeated Hungarian Champion in Latin American dances. The team represented Hungary in international competitions. Judit’s best result with the team was 5th place in the World Championship.

In 1997 she moved to Boston, where she competed professionally reaching the finals of several competitions in USA. She took the Fred Astaire teachers’ qualification tests as well as the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Licentiate exam in International Ballroom.

Judit studied international business and economics and she holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management. Judit has two sons: Christopher and Patrick.

Judit’s passion is to share her knowledge of dance and teach people how to discover the beauty that dancing has to offer.

I needed Samba lessons for a school trip to Brazil in early 2013. I contacted Champions because I had met Judit previously when she worked at Fred Astaire in Boston and I knew she was a top quality instructor. Judit operates a top notch school both for social dancers and competitive dancers. The vibe in the school is warm and professional.

I’ve been taking classes here for almost 4 months now and I’ve learned so much. I couldn’t dance for the life of me when I started. ZyriaB and Judit both said if I could walk I could dance and to my disbelief they were right. I’m gained a ton of confidence on the dance floor and discovered that I really love dancing. You’ve got to come by and try a class. So much fun!

My wife and I aren’t exactly dancers — three and a half left feet between us! But decided it would be fun to give lessons a whirl.
We’ve been to three so far — two individual and one group. Judit is a patient instructor, and we’re moving along a little better than I’d expected. The only negative is that my wife has unexpectedly taken a shine to swing dancing, and it’s clear that I’m going to have to try to keep up with her. But Judit swears she has it under control. Maybe I’ll provide an update in a few weeks!
The studio is inviting and relaxed. Our kids are welcome, and they just sort of hang out in the corner and eat the snacks that are provided. Prices seem reasonable, and she’s been accomodating about scheduling the individual lessons at times that work for us.
We’ll give it a week or two more, then try one of the dance party practice sessions. Wish us luck!

We first learned of Champions Dance Studio through a Buy With Me coupon. Bought it, and figured we’d give it a try. Three months later and we’re hooked! Judit, Zaur and Tim are all exceptional instructors. The Latin classes are fun, and the intermediate level classes are very challenging, but most of all, rewarding. Judit runs a tight ship, but she blends discipline with encouragement and humor. In the end, you walk out feeling educated and accomplished, all while having a great time. Highly recommended!

My son has been taking dance lessons there and really looks forward to going to the class. She makes it a fun, no pressure experience for the kids which definitly helps children in the early stages of dance. I would recommend her for your boy or girl to try out her classes.
