I’ve been going to this stand for three years. I’m a coffee snob so for me to stick to any one place means a lot coming from me. I was a barista myself for about three years and know what coffee should taste like. When one is a barista it’s hard to give up the control over our drink because you know how it should be made. I also know what milk should sound like when it’s steaming. Hint– if it’s screaming it’s going to taste microwaved and flat– they need to move that steam wand to the top of the milk pitcher to aerate it. All it takes for me to go to another stand is one incidence of receiving a non-aerated latte. My favorite thing about this stand is the $ 2 Mocha Mondays! You won’t find a mocha cheaper, and like I eluded to earlier– the quality is excellent because the coffee is excellent and so are the baristas. Bargreen has been roasting coffee in Everett since 1890 and I’m a sucker for a local roast. Another favorite, like I mentioned, is the baristas. Christine works weekdays in the morning and girl can pull a mean espresso shot. She knows what«ristretto» is, aerates my milk when I order hot drinks and remembered my drink the second time I came in. She’s really sweet, too and always brightens my Monday mornings. This stand also has almond milk for only 25 cents more, which is an absolute steal considering that most stands charge 50 cents or more. They also offer rice milk and soy milk for those who are lactose intolerant or are avoiding animal products. Don’t forget to get a punch card for two-punch Tuesdays and check out the daily specials. The crepes are delicious and not a bad price– $ 3.25 each. The bagels are good and they sell Umpqua oatmeal which is the most delicious oatmeal I’ve ever had. Give this stand a try– it could be your new favorite. Just don’t go Monday mornings because I hate waiting in lines and don’t want to wait behind you ;)
