History

Established in 1990.

The store was founded in 1990 by Kirk Mitchell, son of Peggy Mitchell whose morning children’s television program entertained tri-​state children for 27 years. The store was named after his two children, Krista «Lea» and Ryan «Matthew». The facility, near Evansville’s primary retail area, houses Lea Matthews Furniture & Interiors, Business Environments, The Design Center, The Drapery Workroom and warehouse space.
