Starbucks

Moving pretty slow. Though, Saturday, I was the only vehicle in the drive thru, and they were quick. On Saturday, the dude taught me about Affogado (hopefully I spelled that correctly), and he supplied quick and friendly service.

They can’t seem to get a drink right at this place. They need to hire some people with more experience.

I would like to preface this by saying that I am MORE than a regular Starbucks coffee drinker. I start the day EVERYDAY with a Quad Grande Skinny Hazelnut Non-​Fat No-​Foam Latte (which costs close to $ 7) and by mid-​day or early evening am back for a 2^nd tall expresso drink (usually the seasonal featured drink). So on average I am spending $ 10-​$ 12 PER DAY at Starbucks. I daily frequent the Starbucks near my business in the Southport Corridor and have been going there with this pattern since May 2015. Before that, for 3 years actually, I frequented the Starbucks at Chicago and 42 E. Chicago. At both location I had AMAZING experiences but THIS Starbucks is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE! Although they are moderately friendly… they ALWAYS get my drink wrong. Today, however I had an ok experience to start and then it turned to crap! The girl that took my order was pleasant and friendly although got my drink wrong AGAIN, but the barista that made it corrected the mistake happily. What was the downfall was that there was actually what appeared to be a corporate visit going on and they were all standing blocking the drink pickup area and then all sat at the prime seating spots at the bar! Also I noticed that they were checking the mobile charging stations (something new that is #comingsoon that I am personally excited about) so I took an opportunity to ask quickly if it was up and running. I not only got a snotty look from the corporate woman but a cold and short response that was «we are working on it». Well Starbucks on Dempster… I am DONE with your crappy ass service! That was the last straw! Athough I will continue to patron the Southport&Roscoe location daily because that ENTITE staff ROCKS! You should probably take some training from Tania (store manager) and her team cuz they have it RIGHT! Two thumbs DOWN for this location!

Don’t know if anyone aware of the pastry serve /​sell at Starbucks are made in China. This one star is for that because you can’t ever believe what they put in the food!!! I have been going to Starbucks and pick up my coffee and a muffin before work. One day they gave me the muffin with the original plastic wrap since they don’t have it in the case and I found a label with the production date which was 2 months ago in simplified Chinese character. Since then, I only get coffee from Starbucks and buy a breakfast somewhere instead.

I recently started going to this Starbucks, as it’s on my way to work and I like changing things up when I have extra time on my hands. This is a pretty large location compared to the others I’ve been to in the Evanston area! It’s also laid out differently than the other locations and has a drive-​thru (which I have not yet taken advantage of). There are usually 5 or so baristas behind the counter at a time here… Most are very to-​the-​point, make-​your-​drink-​and-​be-​on-​your-​way, but all seem to be very friendly and accommodating.

This Starbucks is awesome with the best atmosphere and a perfect place to study. This is has become my favorite Starbucks!

favorite coffee place. Mochas are the best. I go with my friends every Monday and just relax. the place is kept up and the service is wonderful. I recommend everyone to try it especially this location.

This location was opened because they’re closing the one on Main and opening another at McCormick & Touhy. We have several Starbucks stores in this area, but this one has the convenience a drive thru, plus the inside is roomy and comfortable, as well. We know some of the baristas from the Main St. store, yet they’re all friendly and helpful.

Becoming one of my fav starbucks in evanston. Drive thru! Good inside seating and free parking. Usually pretty busy but well lit and barista are very friendly.

Brand new Starbucks with a drive thru. The atmosphere is nice place to study. Its a different style and layout from other starbucks. Nice and quiet to do homework.
