Lakeside Auto is run by Sarkis Tokat and his two sons, Armen and Garo. Their promise is to provide you with the absolute best service and repairs for a reasonable price. Working as a team, they ensure that getting your car repaired is as informative and low-​maintenance as possible. Lakeside is a family/​community oriented shop, and strays away from the typical practices of larger, franchise operations.

Lakeside did a great job repairing a good size dent with paint damage near the door handle of my SUV. Armen was friendly, responsive, and knowledge. He recommended the cheaper of two repair options and there was no sign of the damage after the repair. Will definitely use them again if the need arises

Had to get a rear window replaced. From the first call to the first minute I arrived and then all throughout the process, Armen was friendly, responsive, and ended up delivering outstanding work and customer service. I have been looking for a mechanic and body shop for quite some time, and this shop has earned my business. The service provided by Garo and Armen was excellent. They worked very diligently to provide me several options (some of which required additional research). I was seeking a more fiscally reasonable solution, particularly given my car is a 2003 and I didn’t want to invest a lot of money into auto body repairs. Of the three estimates I received — Lakeside was by far the best price, but also provided the most personalized customer service attention. When the appointment was scheduled, they completed the work within a matter of hours (I was having bumper work and a mirror replaced). As mentioned by one of the other reviewers — my car looked MUCH better than when I dropped it off since they not only did a great job with the repairs, but also cleaned the interior of my car and cleaned my headlights/​taillights that had become extra foggy (I’m not actually sure how they cleaned the lights as I tried myself unsuccessfully). My 2003 almost looks like a new car after being with Lakeside for just a few short hours!

I am one of those customers who fall into the worst category for folks like Lakeside. I own a 25 year old SAAB that is rather pristine and there is not a millimeter of the car that I am not familiar with. I am picky, and like everything done to absolute factory floor perfection. Armen and Tokat as well as the whole crew at Lakeside are fantastic. From sweating the small details to the big fixes. I highly recommend them. Courteous, professional and a super clean shop with super friendly service. They are very clear about what they do and don’t do — and are very eager to share contacts with others that can help with issues outside or complimentary to their work.

So, I had a little fender-​bender 11⁄27 and didn’t have a clue where to take my baby. The folks that hit me actually suggested Lake Side as the place to go because that’s where they have always taken their cars. I said okay, I’ll check them out. Well, from the first, they were pleasant and professional. Armen spoke plain English without making me feel like he was talking down to me, and even as one of the owners, assessed the damage and did what was best for me and my car, not his shop. I dropped off my car on Monday and got it back Tuesday looking showroom clean and well repaired! I swear to you, the paint and repair look better than it did when it was new! The color is matched perfectly! Even the dings and such that were near the bumper are gone! And the car wash! I don’t know who they use, but WOW! My car hasn’t been this clean since Day 1! Truly, this has been one of the easiest and most stress-​free repairs EVER and it is totally do to the guys at Lake Side, especially Armen! If you need ANY work done, go to Lake Side! They will make your car whole again and you feeling comforted and like somebody actually cares about doing a good job.

I just got back from picking up my car from Lakeside. I went to them to have a couple small dings on my rear bumper repaired. They provided me a quote and when I agreed to proceed they immediately ordered the paint. They quickly got back to me to schedule the appointment. I dropped my car off at 1:30 on a Tuesday and I had it back by 4 the same day! The work was perfect! I highly recommend them. No pressure, easy to work with, and courteous.

I was looking for a mechanic and found these guys — had searched «hybrid» «evanston» and «mechanic.» This listing popped up but it looked like they only did body work.
I called and they confirmed this, but VERY QUICKLY and VERY HELPFULLY referred me to two local, independent shop, including the ever-​important «if I had a domestic hybrid car, I WOULD TAKE IT TO. .. «
Super friendly, and super helpful. Got names of two mechanics very quickly — he even looked up the telephone numbers for me.
I hope that I never have to use these guys for body work, but if I do, I won’t consider anyone else.

The guys here are absolutely wonderful. I have had my Honda fixed here several times and they have always done a stellar job. Pricing is extremely reasonable and the customer service is amazing (they gave me a ride to and from work, they called with updates throughout the repair process, and they always leave my car spotless afterwards). They are family owned and operated. Extremely trustworthy guys; I highly recommend them.

Excellent job, personable, professional owners, clean, highly recommended. Even if the other person’s insurance weren’t paying for it, I would take my car here next time it needs body repair. They give a «lifetime» guarantee for their work. It is SOOO nice to get excellent work from people who care!
Like the previous reviewer, we were referred by State Farm after one of the clients of State Farm sideswiped our rear bumper in the grocery store parking lot. State Farm said we could use our own body repair shop or one of 3 close to our house that they recommended. Lakeside Auto is just 7 blocks away so I took our car there. Sarkis the owner with his sons, was so accommodating. Since he works with State Farm often, he is willing to call them to arrange the State Farm approved rental car (Hertz or Enterprise) who will pick up at his shop. If you choose not to use a rental car, he or his son will willingly drive you home. They give a precise, computer generated estimate immediately and can have the car ready in 3 – 4 days. State Farm readily approves their estimate of the repair.
When I returned to pick up the car, it looked like new! The shine and repair, cleaning inside and out, including the windows inside and out and the carpet, were perfect! They even sprayed a little «new car smell» in our 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. They arranged for the rental company to pick up the rental car so I could drive my «new» car home.
