Lakeshore Auto Towing

After waiting over 5 hours for AAA to show up to tow my broken car, I gave up on them and called Lakeshore based on these Unilocal reviews. The guy who answered said he would be there in 30 minutes. I said I’d been waiting for a while, and was tired and cold — could he come sooner? He said, «No problem, be there in 20 minutes.» He arrived in 15 minutes. Extremely friendly and courteous. He started to hook the tow truck to my car when he realized that it is all-​wheel-​drive (which is unusual for my model of car). He said that to avoid risking damage to my AWD, we should use a flatbed truck instead of a tow truck. So he called a different towing company who he knew had a flatbed truck available, and then waited with me in his tow truck so I could keep warm for the 20 minutes until the flatbed arrived.
What a nice guy! He spent 25 minutes helping me out, plus his time spend driving to me, without getting a penny for it. And he passed me along to a competitor who he knew could help me out. It is not an exaggeration for me to say that he renewed my faith in humanity!

We’ll let me start by saying I was involved in a major car Accident in Rogers Park. These guys showed up took my car to a excellent body shop in there neighborhood and help me get a rental car. I was in a bad situation and with there help they made my day, week, month better. I think that without their help I would not have any idea of what to do because it’s my first accident ever. I highly recommend this company … Just wanted to say thanks.

Alright, these guys are great. This is the first time I’ve actually sat down and written a review, and they deserve it. Last week I was moving and left my car sitting in the alley, emergency flashers going. As we finished up packing I realized my car had been sitting there for a couple of hours and yep… battery was dead. This was at 2am, and the first company I called said it’d be 2 ½ hours to get someone out. I called up these guys, and they were there in 15 minutes. Zapped the battery and I was on my way in 3 minutes. Professional, friendly guys and they saved me big time. Highly recommend!

My water pump went out on the way to work, and I had to leave my truck parked on a side street. Because I work in Rogers Park I called Lakeshore Auto Towing. They were friendly on the phone and said they could accommodate my schedule by coming during my lunch break. I got a call 20 minutes before to verify, and was met by the driver promptly at 1:00pm. The driver was super nice, and had my truck loaded in minutes. He brought it down to my repair shop in Lincoln Square without a glitch. Oh, and the price was VERY reasonable.
