John Tyler Carlson – State Farm Insurance Agent

This State Farm office is not on your side (I know, wrong insurance company, but this is the way I felt about them — also they would not make very good neighbors). We have received many contradictory statements about policies from the same employees. We recently cancelled all policies here and moved to another local State Farm office after this office did not inform of us all the required documents necessary to get an engagement ring insured. Instead of trying to find a way to get at least a temporary policy set up on the $ 10,000 ring on my financee’s finger, this office just said there was nothing they could do.

I recently discovered that what I believe to be squirrels have not only built a nest in my car engine, but have started eating through wires and who knows what else? Of course I discovered this on a Saturday evening. I called my agent. This agent. I wasn’t surprised when I had to leave a voice message for him. It was Saturday evening after all. Before I went to bed that night I received word from him via text assuring me that this type of event was covered. He then recommended a shop in the neighborhood, and communicated with me all the next day (Sunday) helping reassure me that this would be as hassle free an event as it could be. He would call the shop as soon as his office opened Monday and the claim was filed. He also told me that Enterprise would come and pick me up to get a rental car, and that, because of the coverage I chose, I would not have any out of pocket expenses until the repair on my car had been finished.
I’ve been with State Farm since the early 1980’s and will NEVER switch. I highly recommend this agent.

Tyler is a great insurance agent! When our condo association made it mandatory to carry homeowners insurance we searched for nearby agents. The first calls my wife made to other insurance agents either went un-​answered or it seemed like their offices were un-​interested in our business needs. Calling Tyler’s office was totally the opposite. The person who picked up the phone couldn’t have been nicer, asked us all right questions to get the information they needed and then set-​up a meeting for us with Tyler late in the evening so as to work around our busy schedules. We were so impressed with Tyler and his office that we now carry 4 insurance policies with him: homeowners, car and two life insurance policies. All of our interactions with him have been great and I could not recommend an insurance agent more! He has even gone out of his way and helped us with other things such as notarizing documents (he is a notary public) when we needed them.

The atmosphere in this office is friendly and helpful — as though you were living in a small town and folks knew you and wanted to help you out. That, in my experience, is a very rare commodity in today’s tweety society.
John doesn’t force anything on you, his staff reminds you when you forget to mail the payment (in a kind way) and the staff seems ready to problem solve at the drop of a hat. Insurance is necessary, and we could probably get it cheaper elsewhere, but people friendly kindness counts too. Try John Carlson at State Farm — you will be glad you did.

The agent was great at finding the coverage I needed for the best price. Tyler made sure I understood the coverages I was signing up for… and then he called me when I was eligible for a discount. What insurance agent would call their customer to lower their premiums? John Tyler did!
The team members are always energetic and helpful. I wouldn’t do business with any other Agent.
