History
Established in 2010.
My wife Kathia, her brother Gustavo, and myself Ryan met in 2005 at Magic Pan Crêpe Stand. When they closed in June 2010 we kept our crêpe love affairs going out of our garage serving neighbors crepes we made off a pancake griddle.
Days later we found a better garage at Now We’re Cooking (commercial kitchen in Evanston) and still serve neighbors but from a 10×10 tent at local farmers markets or at other on-site locations such as the cafes at Lutheran General & Christ Hospital.
People ask why the name Gotta B Crepes?
I used to have trouble accentuating Kathia’s name so I just called her ‘Gata.’ Her specialty was adding that extra touch to the food that made it taste just right, in which I would exclaim, «Gata be the Magic!»
Crepes have been around for centuries but still we find ways to add new tastes. Our specialty is your next sweet or savory crêpe done the ‘way its Gotta B.’
