Evanston Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra, with a professional music director, performing five concerts a year in Evanston. The ESO offers quality, affordable, and accessible tickets to all concerts and gives musicians the opportunity to play fine symphonic music.
History
Established in 1945.
The Evanston Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1945 when returning GIs wanted a place to play symphonic music. It has continued as a community orchestra, playing concerts in Evanston, every year since. It performs subscription concerts at Pick Stagier Concert Hall, and a holiday pops concert at Evanston Township High School.

Manager
David answers the phones and does all the ticketing and financial management of the orchestra. David also writes the program notes, and lectures at our pre-concert lectures, Musical Insights. David is a very knowledgeable person on all aspects of classical music.
