It was absolutely horrible. I will never go back again. It is very different than last year when I was there. Service was poor, food quality was poor.

Breakfast. How hard can it be?
What a disappointment. I was in town for an appointment, and I had enjoyed a nice breakfast here about 4 months ago. Nothing truly spectacular, but pleasant and serviceable food for breakfast. After all, how hard is it to heat up some sausage and a couple of fried eggs and an english muffin? I had high hopes when we returned yesterday morning at 9:30, and those hopes continued when the Maitre’d thoughtfully seated us far away from a family with noisy children.
We were offered a couple of menus by the Maitre’d, who told us about the breakfast buffet (which we did not avail ourselves of last time). He poured us coffee, and a server came with water for our glasses. I was surprised that I was given the breakfast menu, and my wife a luncheon menu. No worries, we can share the menu. After waiting about 10 minutes for our server to return, we decided to go for the buffet — it was only a dollar more (when you factor in coffee ($ 3.50) and orange juice (also $ 3.50) than the standard two egg breakfast ($ 9.00).
The food: I opted for the custom made omelet. It was barely ok. It had a bit of a rubbery texture to it, the cheese was barely melted (it looked like Velveeta — though I had requested American). The «breakfast potatoes,» sitting in a chafing dish were on the dry side, while the maple sausage seemed a bit too greasy. My wife had scrambled eggs that looked soupy and fruit that had apparently sat out for too long. Upon leaving the restaurant, she became sick in the car on the way home. When I finished my orange juice (that I poured from a large pitcher) there was a trail of some slimy looking… something… in the bottom of my glass.
The service: What service? After being seated, no one came to ask if we wanted the buffet or the menu breakfast. We waited patiently for 15 minutes before deciding to go it alone. No one came to refresh our coffee or to ask how things were. Finally, I had to flag down a busboy to get our check. Either this place is understaffed, or they don’t care. Terrible, terrible service.
I left a small tip, just because we were seated away from noise. If that hadn’t happened, I’m not sure I would have left anything.

I took my family there for the Thanksgiving buffet on November 26, 2015. It was very dissapointing. Not only the food was bad, but the service was absolutely terrible.
No forks, only had to ask four times. No butter, the waiter comes out of the kitchen and and throws me three frozen pats of butter and says here.
The buffet was Turkey breast. No carved turkey. I had better TV dinners. Gravy and vegetables were from the can. It had to be thee worst buffet, if you even call it that, in my entire life. I notified their World head quarters for a full refund. Nobody should have to get this kind of service, and eat this awful food.
It was an embarrassing disgrace to my friends and family.

Beautiful patio. Attentive and friendly service. My salad was good, very fresh and crisp. Gelato was excellent with beautiful presentation. Nice selection of craft local beers. Overall great atmosphere.

I ate here while visiting from Michigan, and wasn’t disappointed in the least. The service was incredible with waiters who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, and the food was fresh. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Service was outstanding. Really made it feel like I was a regular. Not to mention that the food was great. I had one of the best cheeseburgers that I’ve had in a while.

The food was superb, the service was excellent. The outdoor patio was charming and relaxing. Would definitely come back.

The worst service I’ve ever seen at a lunch place in this area. More than one hour just to get roasted chicken for a lunch order. I will never come here again! Finally manager came and comped lunch. He was very gracious. Food very good.

Formerly The Globe café in Evanston. New renovations, same staff, same menu items, same prices. Well lite, clean, comfortable and stylish.
