Description

Specialties

Ellen’s passion is to help others find their health, comfort, sense of vitality, and direction. Her bodywork and consulting provides a means of working with the whole self.

Hands-On Bodywork

* Massage therapy: combinations of Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, and neuromuscular, uniquely blended to suit your needs.

* Basic craniosacral: very gentle, almost imperceptible movements mostly at the head and neck to induce profound relaxation and return to self healing.

* Energy work: allowing Ellen to sense where there is holding and movement in the body, guiding her to bring in the right combo of modalities to help return the body to a state of flow.

* Body-Centered Awareness: a meditative, movement-based therapy to help you break old patterns of movement and maximize your potential.

* Reflexology: a healing approach to the body through specific points in the feet.

* Combine any of the above with personal consulting/coaching.

History

Established in 1996.

I was a former Personnel Director at a small software company when I realized I wanted to help people more directly. Through some serendipitous events I found massage and instantly knew it was the perfect fit.

At the top of her class at The Chicago School of Massage Therapy I was asked to teach, upon graduating. After three years teaching I went on to to pursue further studies like NMT, Myofascial, Feldenkrais, Energy and Coaching. I taught one more year in AZ, reminding me of how much I love to help people expand their worlds and thrive. Currently I’m studying Reflexology and Craniosacral.

There are always more tools to add, but the most important thing I base my approach on is listening. Not only am I able to focus in on what you really need, but by working with a deep level of mindfulness the body responds much quicker.
