Beautiful Life Acupuncture is a holistic healthcare practice located in downtown Evanston, IL designed to help people on a path to wellness. I treat a wide variety of health issues with specialization in pain management, stress/​anxiety, digestive issues, integrative oncology, infertility, PTSD, weight loss, and women’s health. Along with acupuncture, I offer other modalities such as cupping, gua sha, moxa, heat therapy, tui na, herbal formulas and nutritional counseling depending on the needs of my patients. I take a natural, non-​invasive approach to health that can improve one’s physical, mental and emotional well-​being. All patients receive treatment in a private room with a peaceful and healing atmosphere.

All treatments are by appointment and I work very hard to find a time that works best for you!

History

Established in 2012.

Mary began her acupuncture practice in 2012 after graduating at the top of her class from National University of Health Sciences. She established Beautiful Life Acupuncture a year later and has been happily practicing in beautiful downtown Evanston ever since!

Meet the Business Owner

Mary T.

Business Owner

Mary Thuermer is a licensed acupuncturist in Illinois and board certified by the NCCAOM. She received her Master’s in Oriental Medicine from National University in Lombard, IL graduating at the top of her class.

Mary completed her acupuncture internship at the highly respected Stroger Hospital in the Pain Clinic where she successfully treated a wide range of serious pain ailments. In addition, she has experience treating many other conditions with a focus on digestive issues, infertility, stress/​anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, and a variety of women’s issues.

Mary also specializes in integrative oncology. Being a breast cancer survivor, she brings a unique understanding to her work and the treatment of her patients.

Mary is a compassionate practitioner and tailors her treatments to the needs of her patients. She uses a variety of modalities such as cupping, gua sha, e-​stim, and Chinese herbs. She offers a peaceful environment that promotes relaxation and self healing.
