Archana Lal-Tabak, MD

I was looking for a psychiatrist who would see me without having to take prescribed western medications as part of the treatment. After interviewing over 40 doctors, Dr Archana Lal-​Tabak was the only psychiatrist who filled my criteria. I met with her over the course of six months and her approach was focused on holistic, mind/​body wellness and offered several natural healing modalities such as homeopathy, Ayurvedic and Reiki, to name a few. I am grateful for the experience of having worked with her.

AVOID. No confidence in her abilities. I saw Archana, Dr. Lal-​Tabak only once. FYI the initial consultation costs $ 270.00 to $ 350.00 and pays only for filling out intake forms! She definitely did not disclose this abnormal practice in our initial conversation which included my inquiry about whether she could provide for me the treatment I was seeking and at a price I could afford or I would not have agreed to this… So she provided no feedback, nothing in exchange for that money. Initially she told me she had experience treating the conditions for which I sought her medical care, but I do not believe it now. Instead she ignored my health concerns and was only interested in setting more appointments and collecting more money. So irrational were her email responses to my inquires about her lack of follow up and her insistence on additional appointments after receiving nothing of value the first time, I quickly lost confidence in her abilities. Her comments were so persistently delusional that in the end I sincerely questioned her about being on psychotropic drugs and asked for a refund or partial refund. Needless to say it was an absolute loss. I wish I had known Dr. Lal-​Tabac was less than honorable, she took without giving, which is why I feel the importance of writing this review. Beware!
