Fire Works City is the first outlet you find when traveling from St Louis on I-44 in Eureka, MO. Get off 44 travel southerly, about 1.5 miles from the highway once you cross the Meramac. Mostly a lot of the exact same thing you see anywhere else with different packaging labels on it. Example – Space Travelers and Sky Zoomers… same exact bottle rocket, a dollar less than the Black Cat… probably made by Black Cat. That’s it for variety on bottle rockets. Very small section of actual firecrackers and bottle rockets. Deceptive billboards state«Buy 1 Get 4 Free» but this only refers to the«special» section located in the black bins. These are mostly the crap«fireworks» that are legal in Illinois, i.e., Snakes, Sparklers, «Snap and Pops» and Champagne«Poppers». The billboard should say«Some fireworks are buy X get X free» I’m not sure Molly Brown’s could have been any better for the extra 8 miles travel down the highway. They had some bag of M-80/M-50/M-25 wannabes called«M-2“s. I asked the kid if that was the most powerful«cracker» they had and he nodded«Yup.» Somehow, based on the plastic casing vice paper, I doubted him. Sadly, I think fireworks have just become wussified.
