We came for wine tasting. Very knowledgable staff. We now look at wine totally different. I didn’t know it was such a chemistry to wine making. We loved the embarrassed and viva eureka we both excellent to us and we bought a bottle of both. They also have art hung around for sale from several artist. Really enjoyed the trip. Will definitely be back here often.

The people were super nice, but none of the wines were tasty. They all had very weird, interesting tastes and aftertastes. I was looking forward to this place b/​c it seemed to have some good reviews.

I was pleasantly surprised by the service and friendliness of the people running this winery. We arrived after the listed closing time but were welcomed and given a full, attentive, knowledgeable wine tasting. During the highly informative session, the nice woman who conducted the wine tasting was stung by a bee (No, I’m not kidding) that had managed its way into the room. Yet she continued the wine tasting without missing a beat. The poor bee did not survive even though the kind lady had tried to capture it and set it free outside. We bought several bottles of the wine after taking a short tour of the art gallery.

We went here the last day of our honeymoon last year. The wine was great as was the atmosphere. The wine tasting was also informative.

The artwork and crafts of local artists greats you as you enter this art gallery cum winery near Eureka Springs. We has sampled some Missouri wine on our trip down, so we decided to give Keel Creek a try. The friendly gallery manager greeted us when we entered, we roamed among the art for a bit then sampled. 2 samples are free or you can pay $ 5 for 6 samples and a souvenir glass. My BF and I each had 2 different samples, shared and thus we each tried 4 of the wines offered. I wasn’t impressed. I enjoy dry wines, so we sampled mostly reds with 1 white. The wines were all very green and none really peaked our taste buds… glad we didn’t do the 6 samples, but I like the idea of the place.

Stay far, far away from this place. Unless you wish to be insulted by the ridiculously snobbish owner.
Having had a lovely experience in Eureka Springs so far that day, we stopped at Keels for a little wine tasting. We hit an icy blast as soon as we walked through the front door. The woman behind the counter ignored us, and after we were forced to be the ones to start the interaction, she informed us that she was an owner. And nothing more. We then told her that we had heard the place did wine tastings. She paused. A long pause. With evident annoyance. Then finally she told us that, yes, they did do tastings, and again, with evident annoyance, explained the procedure. But she made absolutely no move towards the unattended bar at which the tastings are given. Dismissing us as if we weren’t worth her time or attention.
And, this is great, so absurd that it truly was funny, she spoke with a fake and exaggerated northeast prep school accent. Hilarious. The more obnoxious she became, the more exaggerated the fake accent became. Real prep school alums wouldn’t give this creature the time of day.
It got better. Having been dismissed, we took a moment to peruse the displayed wine bottles. Sweetie read a couple of the names aloud to me. And this woman, from across the room behind us, actually corrected his pronunciation of one variety (not varietal, being concocted of more than one). The only time she took the initiative to speak to us, was to interrupt a private conversation with a haughty correction. The accent, yes, indeed, became exaggerated even further.
At that point we left, never to return. If this is the type of person to whom you wish to give your money, then by all means stop in for a little blast of arctic snobbery. If not, pass the place right on by, and be thankful that you were spared that ridiculous accent.

I heard that Arkansas has seven wineries. So here’s 5 of 7.
Keels Creek is one of the newer Arkansas wineries and a bit outside the more ‘traditional’ Arkansas wine town of Altus. What you find here is something akin to a microbrewery of wine making as they focus on producing small batches of very high quality wines made from local grapes. $ 5 allows you to taste six wines and keep the wine glass. Only drawback is that, so far, they don’t have any distributors so a trip to the winery is necessary when you need a bottle.
Worth stopping by for the excellent wines.

Two words: GREAT WINE!!!
Keel’s creek is the only winery located in Eureka Springs so I heard. This place is a must for wine lovers. I loved all the wines which we sampled. We paid 5 bucks for our wine tasting and we got our free glasses. The best part is that you get to pick about 6 wines you want to try from their list of wines; that way, you get to pick something that suits your taste buds.
The lady working there was also very knowlegeable about the wines they served which was a good introduction to Arkansas wines.
Tip: if sampling with a partner, choose different wines so you can try almost everything when you share.
Love this place and I will be back to pick up more wine bottles!

We always stop in here on trips to eureka springs. Its just a little ways out of town on the north side. You can’t miss the wine bottle art piece in the front yard. They have only been in business now for a few years and are perfecting their wine. Some of it is better than others, but they also offer a wide selection of wine from around the area. Its always worth stopping in and seeing what there is to sample. My collection of Keels Creek wine glasses is starting to increase as well since they let you keep the glass after a sample.
I know it sounds weird, but if they have any of the cranberry wine, make sure to pick up a bottle. Its exactly like you’d expect; great for lovers of tart cranberry.
The other half of the building displays local art work. They have a wide selection of things and something for everyone. I always look around, but I don’t typically buy art.
