This was an incredible atmosphere and they take very good care of their customers! I felt extremely comfortable with Nikki who helped me with my services for the day and the entire staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly.

What can I say about Mekaela Larson? First of all she has the most contagious smile and laugh! I got my eye brows done not knowing what I wanted, or needed, and told her to use her esthetician skills to fix them up and she went above and beyond what I expected! Mekaela gave me a business card and I already gave it to a friend to get theirs done by her as well! I can’t wait to have grow out again so I can go back!

This is the only place I will go to wax. I love the atmosphere and professionalism. Mekaela makes a painful experience so much fun you almost look forward to going. I also have very sensitive skin and used to get hives after waxing. Now that I am going to Urban Waxx, I no longer get hives. I highly recommend Urban Waxx.

There is really nowhere else in Eugene that even comes close to Urban Waxx, in any regard. I constantly live in fear that they’re going to go out of business due to being «too nice.» Everyone who works there is extremely professional and fantastic at what they do. Their products are amazing – the Serious Serum is a must. Prices are comparable to other salons that aren’t nearly as nice. I didn’t think I could possibly feel so enthusiastic about hair removal. Thanks, Urban Waxx!

I had been wanting to try getting my legs waxed for a very long time, but I was always too scared to try it. Urban Waxx had such great reviews that I was considering making my appointment there if I ever plucked up the courage to do it! XD
I ended up having lunch with a friend next door to Urban Waxx, and took the plunge and decided to see what their schedule looked like for the next two weeks. They had an availability that day in 20 mins so I took it! Everyone was very nice and they even gave me a mimosa while I waited for my appointment!!!
My appointment was with Adriana and she was fabulous! I was super nervous but she was very accommodating and was wonderful and fun to talk to! The experience wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be and I left feeling actually quite a bit more invincible than when I had arrived, haha! I enjoyed my visit so much that I called the next day to set up my 4 – 6 week follow-​up appointment!!! :D
If you’ve never done waxing before, Urban Waxx would be a great 1^st time experience! :)

I can’t say enough about Urban Waxx, the staff is amazing and was super accommodating when I had to call & reschedule a recent appointment not once, but twice. Nikky is absolutely fantastic. I had a horrible experience elsewhere in the past which kept me from ever going to get waxed again. Nikky was totally patient with me and makes me laugh, which is exactly what I need at the time!

I had so much anxiety that I seriously considered canceling my appt, Im so glad I didn’t, cause I had the most amazing experience! I will be back for sure. They use hard wax which made my Brazilian virtually painless (hard to believe). I felt comfortable the whole time, Kristin was great and making this experience as pleasant as possible. I’m so impressed, the only thing I regret is not trying it sooner. I feel like a new women !

I have had my brows waxed for years and I have it done every 3 – 5 weeks. My schedule at work has changed and thus, my hunt for a new salon started. Urban Waxx Eugene is conveniently located both from home and my other frequent visits to downtown. Coming in for a mini touch up is already a mini spa getaway. I enjoy coming here. They greet me like a friendly neighbor. They have tea and snacks at the lounge area I can munch on and they even have mimosas! My first visit included filling out an intake form and it was a dry erase laminate… it’s indicative these ladies do not like to waste a lot of paper! The clean and chic waiting area has a variety of current magazines to peruse through though I’ve only stayed at long enough to finish my mimosa after a service since I usually do not wait for more than 3 minutes when I arrive. There’s a credit card hold for missed appointments or late cancellations, which is absolutely understandable. The ladies I’ve worked with (Kristin and Aurora) have been professional and kind, and they have amazingly, waxed my eyebrows with nearly no pain.

DON’T MISS AN APPOINTMENT
I have never taken the time to write a negative review on a business in my life. I am a small business owner in Eugene, specifically an electrical contractor who provides emergency response on the weekends. I had three appointments at Urban Wax which all went very well. Nice environment and nice people, complimentary water or mimosa and even some snacks are available. The environment is professional and comfortable. In October I scheduled an appointment for a Saturday and because of work was not able to make it. They charged me for 50% of my scheduled services and I made no complaint. The policy is that you must cancel 12 hours before the appointment and in this instance I did not. The following weekend I scheduled an appointment online in the evening after their regular business hours. They provide an automated message and you can view their calendar online. There were no scheduled appointments that day at the time I booked my appointment. An hour later I had an emergency response call come in for the AM. There was no way to cancel my appointment online. I called and left a message, after hours, and in the AM before they opened. I called right when they opened and was informed by a particularly rude person that I could not reschedule for later that day unless they charged my card for 50% of my scheduled service ($ 40). I explained that I just wanted to come in later that day and had something come up. It was explained to me that this is the policy and there is no changing that, that they had my card on file and would charge it regardless. I said that they would lose a customer if that was their choice and there was no budging. I told her that I did not consent to the authorization of a charge on my card, to which the reply was that I had agreed to the terms and would be charged.
THE IRONY
I used to go to someone else for these services, but as a business owner who services many buildings downtown, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Home Builder Association and a general fan of the growth of downtown business I switched over to support this business ever since they went in. On my previous visit to Urban Wax the Air Conditioning was not working and I took time away from my appointment to speak to the service tech about how to access the building to make his repairs. I personally called the Building manager (I happen to have worked on this building several times) and waited after my appointment to make sure that he got in and that there were no electrical problems. It was so hot in there the wax was melting on its own. There were no apologies made for the swampy conditions. I did not charge anything for my time in resolving the situation (I care about my customers).
THE VERDICT
I was willing to put all that aside and give this place another try. Today I scheduled an appointment and after driving down there and showing up I was informed by the manager that I had been BLACK BALLED from returning because of my disagreement with the receptionist about the legality of their policy. They did not bring someone extra on to service my appointment that day; it would cost them nothing to move my appointment to later in the day. It is a bad policy and because I complained about it they choose to not offer me any service again ever. I never received a phone call or any attempt to resolve the conflict in any manner before the owner decided to not offer services. I would never treat a customer like that. EVER.
Customer Service is not defined by a free Mimosa and the test of ones resolve as a business owner is in conflict resolution and working with dissatisfied customers to make them happy with your business. In this department ownership gets an F.
I hope this business has continued success and can make the adjustments they need, for me I am happy to return to the smaller business I used before.

Loved the one in Portland but I moved further until I found out they had one in Eugene! I was so happy they always do my eyebrows the way I want them to and the Brazilian wax is not as painful as I thought.

I came here for the first time last week to get my eyebrows waxed with Mekaela.
I arrived about ten minutes early for the session and was offered a range of water, juices, mimosas (!), and nice snacks before my session again!
When Mekaela approached me to take me to my appointment (around 5 minutes after I had initially arrived), she was helpful and listened to my request to have my brows kept full — just shaped and styled.
Mekaela was very conversational and made the whole experience relaxing and comfortable! At the end, she helped apply some soothing cream to the waxed areas in order to minimize irritation.
Most importantly, my brows look fantastic! I’ve gotten a lot of compliments and Mekaela stayed true to my wishes in keeping them full but tidy.
Will definitely be returning!

I made a 5:00 appointment yesterday. I was told I had to give my credit card info incase I cancelled or missed my appointment. This is not a process I am used to have worked in the wax industry.
I received a call at 4pm informing me I missed my appointment. I explained to the receptionist my appointment was for 5. She was very rude insisting it was at 4 and that this was my mistake. I would have not made a 4:00 appointment as I was not available at that time. Although the receptionist accommodate me with a 5:30 appointment I feel this was a shady attempt to charge for services not received. I did not appreciate that she assumed this was my mistake.
This does not make for a pleasant experience when trying a new place.
