History

Established in 2005.

True to Size Apparel started in 1999 as The Embroidery Store in southern California. The business grew to where we attracted NASA, the United States Supreme Court, Mobil Oil, Sanyo Electric and exported to Africa. The online undecorated garment business grew so much that we went through a few changes (some dramatic) until we were transformed into the company you see today.

Started by Gene & Christina Constant, True to Size Apparel is founded on the idea that everyone should be treated to the best prices possible, which we call «cut-throat prices» — a more aggressive discount than mere «wholesale». Gene is an author of a productivity enhancing, expense saving book titled «Cost Containment». As a money saving expert, he has used his education, after earning an MBA with a major in Finance & his on the job experiences to model his clothes business to benefit shoppers worldwide.

For example, on a standard 5,000 stitch logo, customers pay $ 8 for digitizing, while the industry standard is $ 6

One Christmas morning, (I was ten years old) I got out of bed before everyone before the break of dawn, and unwrapped most of the gifts under the tree and displayed them as they may look in a store’s window. THAT was when it occurred to me that I may be attracted to retail. My very first job after leaving the US Navy was as a photography sales clerk at JCPenney in Springfield IL. It was at Penney’s that I discovered a natural aptitude and love of marketing, purchasing and most importantly, the joy of helping others.
