Love this place! The chicken tacos are really good. Highly recommended!

Get there early before the lines. This place is incredible. Definitely some sort of traditional Mexican food it’s so good I just can’t even describe it. Also really really good coffee it’s their own proprietary blend from coffeehouse roasters.

Our normal breakfast restaurant was closed. Tres Mil was suggested and they didn’t disappoint. The vegetable frittata was delicious! Chef/​owner super friendly and very accommodating! Have plans to return and have recommended a few times!

Great service great little menu. Everyone was very helpful and food was very good and price very reasonable. Trying out.

Ordered the huevos ranchero with beef. Was told it was ground beef but it was actually chunks of beef that was crispy-​almost a shredded beef look. Very flavorful. I had my eggs ordered sunny side up which gave it an extra kick and went very well with the red sauce on the plate. Pretty decent portion.
Husband ordered the BBQ burrito with chorizo. It was massive looking. Larger than his hand/​Palm. The chorizo was a different flavor than I’m used to but it was still delish. I found the Portion of the tortilla chips to be unusually smal next to his burrito and didn’t really make sense with the meal. With my meal, it would make more sense as I had beans, sauce, sour cream to scoop up. Over all for our meals being $ 27 with tip, we left with a take home box and satisfied Tummys.

The Mexican Mocha is something to write home about! Really good! Will come back for other offerings.

One of my favorite locations in Eugene. Counter service ordering and then pick your seat in the large, open dining room.
Quick, courteous service. Drip coffee and water are self serve.
Horchata latte and simple breakfast were perfect. I love their sourdough toast and Mexican hash. No meat for me, it does cost extra.

This place is a little bit on the pricey side, since most breakfast plates are $ 8 – 9 without meat, and it’s another $ 3 to add meat. Coffee is $ 2 for a large house coffee, but it’s $ 4.50−5.00 for one of their fancy mochas! A bit too rich for my blood, so I just got a regular coffee with house-​made dulce de leche, which was delicious. I had the Mexicali hash with sunny-​side-​up eggs and tortillas for my breakfast, which was very tasty. However, the portion of hash was quite small, my eggs were over-​easy instead of sunny and they forgot my tortillas until I asked for them. I would definitely give them another chance, since I could see that they were training someone today, so they must have been preoccupied. Still, I like the idea of having Mexican breakfast available in a place that isn’t a drive-​through or a burrito stand with no seating. Check it out, but bring mucho dinero and baja expectaciones. LOL!

Killer Mexican breakfasts. They have a really unique menu with lots of different choices. When they say, «fiery», they mean it will burn your mouth. Great coffee and a really unique twist on a cinnamon roll. The owner refuses to pay Unilocal to get better positioning in a search list, as I found out. Their 4.5 stars is for legitimate, great and unique food. I had the fiery scramble and it was just fabulous. A definite must eat place.

I was looking for a new place to eat for breakfast and stumbled onto this place. It exceeded my expectations. Not only was the food excellent, the coffee was fantastic too, and Im very picky when it comes to coffee.

This would be a five star review if they didn’t operate out of the slightly annoying common seating area of the 5^th Avenue Market. It’s a multi vendor food fair. People stumble around like zombies navigating the tables and making sense of the different food providers while their kids flip out, scream and just generally act like kids lol but I guess we have all had our turns being little spastics like that. I may still be a little spastic dammit! Food fairs require people make decisions on their feet and this halting indecision is an unavoidable result. Still kinda annoying tho!
The food I got was Tasty AF! The star is the ample amount of fried tomato sauce on top of the burritos. It’s tangy and slightly spicy and full of umami. The egg, pepper and potato burrito filling goes very well with it.
I also had the agua fresca (not sure if I got that right) watermelon juice with lime. It’s a very straightforward watermelon beverage that hits the spot nicely and seems very fresh.
The only picky thing I can say is the side salad needed slightly fresher greens. There was a partially rotted lead in it, though on the whole the salad was tasty enough. Maybe a bit limp.
Conclusion: great food! Watch the salad, and consider getting it to go.

Lived in Eugene for close to 10 years. Delightfully surprised when I stumbled into 5^th street food court (which I hardly venture). This place has incredible lunch options and an extremely friendly staff. Will I be returning? Without a doubt. A must check out in Eugene.

Excellent breakfast fare. Killer Huevos rancheros. Meat products made on-​site. Excellent and entertaining service.

Fantastic little joint. Really high quality made-​to-​order Mexican with good ingredients and a lot of creativity; they do things like house made chorizo with sweet potato (which is, y’know, not something most of us would have thought of) and it completely and fundamentally *works*. Even the cheese quesadillas for kiddos are really good. The people are friendly and prompt, and prices are reasonable (i.e. I will happily pony up $ 7 for a burrito with fresh grilled, quality ingredients.)
The red salsa is also tear-​inducing, nose-​running hot (note: it is also optional, so don’t panic.) To me, that indicates the existence of actual chefs who are interested in flavor, not catering to pusillanimous American tastebuds.

Yes! This is LONG overdue! I am so happy to say that I’ve been back 3 – 4 times now and my experience has been so much better.
I think it might have been a rocky start for Tres Mil, but now the ball is rolling and let me tell you, it’s delicious. I’ve only had their breakfasts since my first visit, but man I literally crave it all the time. I absolutely love their chorizo hash, It is packed with so much umami! I was lucky enough to slide in when they were still adding the fresh guacamole on there for free, but note that it is extra now, understandably. The hash though, sauteed crispy potatoes with chorizo, two fresh fried eggs oozing all over the potatoes and pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole slathered on top of everything.
Tres Mil also is kind of a genius, and played to their location by creating the Bolt Burrito. For all of you that take the Bolt Bus, take notice. The Bolt Bus location is right at the Fifth Street Market, right by the entrance to the international food court! The Bolt Burrito is the ultimate convenience food right? So you’re all ready to load onto your bus to Portland, Seattle wherever, but you’re like, I’m kinda hungry. Roll into the Tres Mil at Fifth street and grab yourself a burrito to go!
Tres Mil also has a slew of tasty beverages that take a spin on the creative side of things: from their Horch-​atte, a latte with horchata instead of milk, pomegranate lemonade to many more. Go to Tres Mil and ask what their concocting now!

I have avoided the Fifth St Market food court for quite awhile now, but sought this place out yesterday for lunch.
My take: interesting menu, with great vegetarian options. Friendly, informative staff. Fast service. Water on the counter and freely available. Breakfast all day. (!!!) There is an enthusiasm about Tres Mil that I liked a lot. They do a great job, believe in their food, and you can tell that there is pride in that. There was one woman capably handling the counter, and two cooks, one of whom (the owner?) volunteered information and interacted with us as well.
My husband had a breakfast hash with adobo mushrooms that looked and tasted (I tested!) divine. I had the protein enchiladas, also with mushrooms. (Had wanted prawns, but they were not available at that point; they are, I was told, not available fresh, and they won’t serve frozen.) In all honesty, they were not missed. I’ll order this the same way, very happily, in the future. I took half the dish home, it was so generous. Absolutely delicious, bright flavors, complex sauces, an especially nice, fresh guacamole.
Loved the whole experience, and when can you say that about a food court eatery?

I ordered the Slow Roasted pork with tormatillo salsa, sweet potato mash, jicama. This was one is for the books! So yummy for lack of better words (I just finished almost licking my plate and I’m still in a lovely daze).
Despite being in a food court the service was stellar. They answered all questions I had and so made my choice easy and I’m glad I made the choice. I will DEFINITELY be coming here again…

Okay, I have a new breakfast place. Tres Mil has clearly gotten it’s feet under it now. Their morning counter girl is cheerful and welcoming, and is delightful to chat over options with. I had the breakfast hash, where you get to choose what protein you’d like (nice vegetarian options!), along with how you want your eggs cooked. I chose carnitas, cringing a bit because it’s so easy to make them dry and tough, with eggs over easy. The carnitas were a great choice – LOTS of meat, and melt-​in-​your-​mouth tender! Eggs were perfect, and the pico was just the right amount of spice. Potatoes were tender and flavorful. Be sure to check out the morning drink special – interesting flavors of coffee! The orange-​infused mocha was heavenly. Only four stars so I have somewhere to go the next time I’m here!

I’ve had better and I’ve certainly had a LOT worse. Minor adjustments will improve the operation a lot. Two stars for the dish Maki reviewed earlier– still out of banana chips eve for dinner service on a Friday night, but informed us of that after we had already paid. It was not a dish we would get again. Three stars for a squash enchilada dish that was pretty good– although the carnitas in it was a bit weird tasting. Guys behind the counter did not seem familiar with what was on the menu. The menu is not laid out well and I found it really disorganized and difficult to understand– entrees were located on the very back page and proteins were listed in small print on the bottom back. strange design choices there. Could use some signage out front where people actually enter the court and see you for the first time. No water out on the counter like other places in the food court and the only two guys were working their butts off so I didn’t have the heart to ask for some.
Feels a bit amateur right now, but could easily be one of the best places at 5^th at – just need to re-​design the menu, tighten up the dishes, and polish up the operation to pro-​level.
