They will charge you 130 $ for an oil change. I will never go to this place again. Ask for their prices before you go in if you are planning on getting serviced at this shop. I had previous services done for a different car and pricing was reasonable, which is why I decided to bring my new car in. Do not make the mistake of coming to this shop. I was told by Ed the owner, that I needed an extra quart of synthetic oil and I only had to change my oil every 5,000 miles. That’s why the price was so high. For one quart of 0W-​20 Mobil oil, I was charged $ 18.20, that is ridiculous! $ 91 for 5 quarts of oil? Thanks for ripping me off! I called around and asked about the 5,000 miles thing and how much it would cost for an oil change. Every place I called in town did not give me an amount that was higher than $ 70. I went in wanting to support local, but ended up regretting it. I will change my own oil from now on, or go anywhere else that isn’t Swedish Engineering West.

I have known one of the mechanics at Swedish Engineering for 30 years. He is Mr. Meticulous to me. He is a big believer in preventive maintenance in order to avert any unexpected road problems. He is also one of the best diagnosticians I know. He has decades of experience with the Volvo line from the 140 series through current.
The Subaru mechanic who works at this auto shop is also excellent. He knows his vehicle line very well.
They are easy to talk to, very knowledgeable staff, and honest.

The staff is personable however Swedish is extremely expensive! I was charged $ 98.00 an hour, just for labor! Don’t make my mistake; ask them their rates before you take in your car for a service/​inspection. I will not go here again based on the price.
