Pet First Aid & CPR Workshop
Having skills and knowledge to help our dogs in an emergency can save their lives. Often there isn’t help readily available when something happens and owners don’t know what to do to assist their dogs before they get to a veterinarian. Knowing how to access, support and react to emergency & minor situations that can happen with your dog can literally save a life.
Participants will learn assessment and first aid skills as well as life saving CPR for dogs using a canine manikin.
The Wilderness Emergency Care programs meet the needs of everyone with outdoor interests, from easy day trips to challenging and technical activities, including wilderness rescue. The Wilderness Emergency Care class includes lesson plans and teaching guidelines. Authored by Steven Donelan includes four modules; Basic Wilderness First Aid (8 – 10 hours), Wilderness First Aid (16 – 20 hours)
History
Established in 2011.
CPR has been a part of our family for over 40 years, my family owns CPR Delaware, CPR Maryland and CPR ED. My brother almost died 5 years ago from a rare heart condition at 32, he now has a defibrillator in his chest and decided to teach people how to save lives and I took on the family business

Business Owner
My name is Katrina Purdy, and I own Oregon CPR, LLC. Her family has been in the health care field for over 40 years, I started doing my own research on health and the risks of heart disease, heart attack and stroke. As an American Heart Association certified instructor in Cardio– Pulmonary Resuscitation /Automatic External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) and Basic Life Support /Healthcare Provider (BLS/HCP) plus First Aid for both medical and non-medical personnel, I have heard many different «myths» surrounding CPR like «Someone else will help», or «I will do more harm than good». The problem with these myths is that they can prevent someone from taking a CPR class or using the life saving skills they have learned when an emergency occurs. In an effort to increase the number of people who learn CPR I take a great deal of passion in educating people about what I do.
