After writing the initial review my mother in law decided to give Randy another opportunity, only this time the terms and conditions of the loan were fairly easy to accomplish, according to my mother in law and my wife Randy definitely improved his game, and they were quite happy with the services he provided.
Overall no one is perfect so I would only reiterate, do your homework, and validate all claims,

I worked with Lorin Wamsley for a couple weeks while searching for a house to buy. He got the pre-​approval letter setup without a problem, but as we got closer to actually needing a loan with a locked-​in rate, his true colors seemed to shine through.
Lorin is what I would call an «old school» kinda mortgage broker. These types of brokers assume they have all the information in their hands, while you (the dumb customer) don’t know anything. Unfortunately for Lorin, there is this new thing called «The Internet». So whenever he would try to BS me about why the rate was behaving in some manner, I would just jump on the internet and find information from very credible sources that proved that Lorin was just making up facts. When I challenged him, he could only mumble some vague answer. I even double checked his responses with other brokers on the exact same day (without telling them that the information came from their competitor) and every one of them unanimously disagreed with his comments/​explanations.
Lorin’s a nice old guy, but money is money, so I finally gave up and got my loan elsewhere.
