Business Owner

Jamie Whitney is a licensed Landscape Construction Professional with the Oregon Landscape Contractors Board. He is highly skilled and confident at executing all levels of both the design and the construction of landscape space. With over 15 years of carpentry experience and a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon, Jamie is designing and building custom outdoor spaces that are creative, functional, and sustainable.

Jamie Whitney is living in the beautiful Willamette Valley with his wife and two children. Inspired by nature.

Jamie and his crew did a great job with our landscape. His plans were thorough and well-​carried out. It turned out to be even more beautiful than I was hoping it would be. Jamie offered ideas that I knew little about but the trust level was great and the bioswale that I was kind of worried about is AWESOME! The fencing, the patio, the planting areas, my Torii fence topper — all great. We haven’t stopped smiling. Plan to have them back in the Fall to build another beautiful cedar fence with a MoonGate feature. Jamie and his guys really work hard and were very pleasant to have around. Call LandArc Landscaping; you’ll be glad you did!

LandArc Landscaping & Design is rooted in strong design and business ethics. Jamie and his crew built two fences for me, in two different styles, one to be public facing and to provide some privacy, and a second fence to separate the garden space to keep our pets out of the garden.
Jamie’s attention to detail was incredibly keen. One afternoon while admiring the day’s progress, I noticed that one of the horizontal boards was bent, but by the time I had a chance to mention it to him the next day, he had already replaced it without me having to ask for him to do so.
He communicated clearly with us and was very thorough regarding our desired outcome and details even while we were traveling out of town with our daughter — he made sure to let us know status updates and shared pictures on a near daily basis.
I give LandArc Landscaping & Design my highest recommendation: I plan to do business with them in the future and recommend them to both friends and family frequently.

We’ve had Jamie/​LandArc do two projects for us. The first project involved transforming a steep hillside into a terraced garden area. The stone work Jamie did was fantastic. We also hired him to extend an existing stone patio. Jamie is detail-​oriented and has a good eye for fitting plans into the landscape. He listens to what is needed and makes great suggestions based on his experience. My only suggestion would be that he communicate more proactively about progress, unexpected challenges, timeline, etc. Overall, we’ve been very pleased with how he has helped us transform our backyard into a destination rather than an afterthought. We’ll definitely keep him in mind next time we have a landscaping project come up.
