History
Established in 2004.
This business was started with my father, Allan Coons, a very well-regarded Oregon workers’ compensation attorney. Mr. Coons retired in 1995, but decided to return to law practice in 2004. We have practiced exclusively workers’ compensation and social security disability/SSI law since 2005 (we took other matters for a short time in 2004 – 2005), and have recently added practice areas of personal injury and long term disability contract disputes. At present, we are one full time attorney and one full time legal assistant, a part time law clerk, and two part time interpreters. The attorney and law clerk speak Spanish well enough to be conversational, and the interpreters are available when needed. We operate as a team, not a hierarchy, and consider clients to be part of that team. Clients receive personal attention from the attorneys when needed; we do not hand off cases to paralegals. Juliana C.
Business Owner
Born in Eugene, Oregon, the daughter of a well-known local workers’ compensation attorney, Juliana has lived in Germany, the UK, France, Hungary, and the Bay Area, and has traveled elsewhere. She speaks three languages fluently, is proficient in Spanish, and gets by in Italian. She obtained her first B.A. in Biology, Romance Languages, Chemistry, and German in 1998, and her second B.A. in Psychology in 1999. She graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2002, and took and passed the Oregon State Bar in 2003. She has been practicing law since 2004, doing exclusively workers’ compensation and social security since 2005, and having recently added personal injury and long term disability contract disputes as new practice areas. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going for walks, dancing, spending time with her family, and listening to music.
