History

Established in 2000.

In January 2000, my wife and I started a small business called Johnny Fix-​it, and later grew to JFI Construction. We began this business after realizing that not all people want new houses, and in fact, most people love where they already live but either need more living space, or they would like to change what they have.

Business Owner

My name is John Johnson, and I am a native of Eugene, Oregon. I grew up in a house located over by Valley River Center, and attended school at Willagillespie Elementary, Cal Young Middle, and Sheldon High. My construction experience began as a young boy working for my father. He would pick me up from school and take me to work, until I got my own drivers license, then I’d meet him at the job sites in the afternoons and all day on weekends. My father and I, as well as my brother, have built houses all over the Eugene, Springfield and surrounding areas. In 1997 I married my wife, Melissa, and in January 2000, together we started a small business called Johnny Fix-​it. Our business has been successful for almost 15 years. We have made many long time friends as well as feel very fortunate to have worked on so many homes.
