Dr. Michael Furgason, Dr. Jason Fife, and the staff at Eugene Smiles all understand that a trip to the dentist is sometimes a stressful experience. They are proud to offer a variety of amenities to make your visit as comfortable as it can be.
Patients find the garden setting, music, blankets, and even a warm neck wrap can be a welcome distraction during their dental procedures and frequently comment on how relaxed they feel when they leave our office. To further ease our patients’s anxiety and discomfort, we are pleased to offer nitrous oxide conscious sedation.
Eugene Smiles specialities include general dentistry including periodontal, oral care, gum, scaling and root planning, x-rays and hygiene, fillings, root canals and extractions, crowns, bridges, full and partial dentures, dental implants.
We also do cosmetic dentistry procedures including teeth whitening and veneers, referrals to oral surgeons and other specialists as appropriate.
History
Established in 1997.
Started Dentistry Practice in 1997, then moved to our current Coburg Road location in 2003.
Spring 2014, Dr. Jason Fife joins the practice.

Business Owner
Dr. Michael J. Furgason was born and raised in Oregon. He attended Oregon State University, Brigham Young University and The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry from which he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1997.
While in Oklahoma, Dr. Furgason also gained valuable experience as part of the forensic dentistry team that worked at the site of the Oklahoma City Bombing.
After graduation from dental school, Dr. Furgason and his family moved to Eugene where he has practiced dentistry ever since. In May 2003, Dr. Furgason relocated his practice to a new facility on Coburg road.
Dr. Furgason has continued his dental education with emphasis on cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry. In addition, he has served in numerous local and state dental leadership positions including president of the Lane County Dental Society and Delegate of the Oregon Dental Association House of Delegates Annual meeting.
