Hunky Dory Pipe & Tobacco

Do not buy anything from this place since they do not have a return policy. I bought a vaporizer that came with instructions which do not match the product. So I found instructions online. It’s the easy vap digital. What a piece of crap for $ 90.00. Does not work, waiting over 10 minutes for it to heat up and still does not get hot enough at any setting, tried 250, 300, 375 and 400 degrees.
Hunky Dory says they have a no return or exchange policy. So I am just screwed, I have to send it in to the manufacturer to get it repaired. I will never buy anything from this store again.

I really wanted to like hunky dory. They have cool glass, awesome tapestries, pretty much anything you’d expect in a hippie head shop. But the customer service, oh man.
A couple of weeks ago I came in to buy a bong. Checked out the «employee’s picks» case and I asked Emma if I could see the diamond glass bong she had selected for the week.
She had matched it with a custom Rasta bowl that cost 40 $, so I asked her if I could just have the bowl that the bong originally comes with. I have included a picture of what bowl I was given.
Fast forward to last night, I walk in and go over to the case with all the diamond glass bongs, including mine. Except this time, my bong is paired with an awesome diamond glass bowl that actually matches it.
I call over Emma, the same woman who sold me my bong, and asked her if those bowls are the stock bowls for these diamond glass bongs. She said yes. «So they comes with the bong, like, for no extra charge right?» I was assured with a yes.
So, assuming there is still some logic left in the world, I proceeded to explain to her that when she sold me mine, she gave me one that looked nothing like that. It was barely worth ten dollars. It did not even fit the down-​stem properly.
The worst part about it? She actually claimed that that was the stock bowl manufactured for this bong.
You would think since Emma recognized me upon arrival, she would compensate me for her mistake.
What she did instead? «Oh, well yeah I don’t know, you could by a new one if you want».
I asked her why I was given such a shitty bowl instead of the one that the bong was supposed to come with. She had no answer for me. She only stated that if I now want the bowl piece that comes with the bong, then I have to buy it.
Then why did it not come with my bong when i purchased my bong 2 weeks ago Emma?
The bowl I was given is not listed anywhere on the diamond glass website as one of their products.
If you are an authorized retailer of a company, then you must sell their products as they are manufactured. Anything less is lying to your customers, Hunky Dory.
I even spoke with the manager about this, NOTHING. I do not understand.

This place is bs.

Fun, interesting atmosphere with very helpful employees. Everything seems reasonably priced, and the pipe tobacco is great! They have a good selection if flavors, and obviously care about giving the customer a positive experience, even if you are only spending a few dollars that day. My favorite smoke shop in Eugene!

One of the coolest smoke shops I’ve been in. The whole thing feels like an old cigar store. They have EVERYTHING. Being in this store made me surprised at how many products ppl can come up with just based around smoking.

I think this is the place hippies go when they die. Hippie heaven.

This shop is now my favorite that’s for sure. They don’t have everything but they are really close. All the staff is friendly and helpful, and they have more actual glass and just every other thing you might need than anywhere else I have been.

Head/​Hippie/​Tobacco/​Cigar shop, cool vibe. Very well organized, almost anything you could think you might need. Staff is all cute girls below 18−24yrs old, so that has its positives and negatives

Also love Midtown, but Hunky Dory’s is pretty legit. They have a huge selection of product, definitely one of the largest in the area, albeit a bit expensive given some of their products. The staff is super warm and friendly! The girls are nice, it’s fun to go in there. If you are looking for glass, it’s definitely worth checking out. The tobacco shop is pretty awesome, but again, some pricing is ridiculous. They had a bottle of dokha (Middle Eastern tobacco) for over $ 80! It’s was insane! I’ve lived in Dubai and never paid that much. Other then a few offly-​priced products, though, it’s a comforting atmosphere and a cool shop to check-​out. The owner could do better with advertising and cleaning the surrounding place up, but it’s legit.

They have a lot of product, which is nice. But, when asking questions, all I got back was a bit of attitude mixed with the feeling that the sales person hated her job. Instead of trying to sell to me, she handed me the pipes without giving me any sort of sales pitch. I like being sold to, so this could be my own issue. I’d still go back, but I have other places I’d go to first.

I love to come in here and window shop. They have a great assortment of things ranging from tarot cards, incense, clothing, pewter fantasy nick knacks, essential oils, Freak Brothers Comics and of course smoking accessories. The staff are knowledgeable and courteous. Many of their prices are competitive and sometimes cheaper than purchasing through the Internet. Excellent place to find gifts for those who have everything.

I don’t shop here often enough to remember employees from one trip to the next, but I’m continually AMAZED at the GREAT one on one service I get when I shop here. I almost ALWAYS need directions to locate what I’m needing, & then I need further service to complete my purchase. I ALWAYS leave in a brighter mood when I leave simply because the staff are so NICE & HELPFUL! Prices are fair, selection is GREAT… This place is darn cool. I REALLY, REALLY wish the parking was better though. That, can be a real pain in the rear sometimes but so worth it!

I eventually gave up waiting for the end of a lengthy personal conversation between staff and some of their friends hanging out in the store and asked the clerks for help (since no help had been offered). With obvious reluctance, one of the young ladies tore herself away from her chat and proceeded to ”help” me by telling me I was ignorant about what I wanted to buy. Since I’ve been using the item I was looking for since about 1968 (about 30 years before the clerk was even born), I can’t say I appreciated her comments.
All in all, I wouldn’t go back to this store. The staff there clearly pick and choose which customers to treat with civility and which customers to treat like unwanted visitors :(Too bad, because they have a really nice selection of supplies.)

This shop has a nice variety of «glass ware» as well as smokes. All that you would need if you are an avid zig zag user:)
Nice selection of cigars, cigarettes (including my fave brand of cloves) and wares to enhance your smoking pleasure.
Also have tobacco and fruit for your hooka… sweet!
