Oh my, according to a post on the internet by the owner, the nursery was to close at the end of August 2015. Very sorry to hear that, but I wish them well with the residential development.

Visiting this nursery is a beautiful experience — it’s a lot like coming to stroll through a mature municipal park planted with rare plants. They have a huge handkerchief tree.(!) Greer’s is in fact the best place in Eugene to find a rare plant or two if you’re a plant nerd like me. Want a willow that grows like a groundcover? A big specimen of the majestic Trompenburg maple? Come here. Harold Greer, the patriarch of this place, is known nationally for rhododendrons, his knowledge of them and the crosses he’s created. The rhodie offerings are extensive. So enjoy yourself, cracking open those plant books you’ve highlighted, all excited because you’ve finally discovered a little something or other you can’t wait to dig into your yard. Understand, you’ll be paying a big premium for this.
