Established in 1978.

Eufaula Eye Associates was founded by Dr. Willard Smith in 1956. In 1978, Dr. Hernan Benavides joined Dr. Smith, his father-​in-​law, and has been in private practice since. In 2009, Dr. Benavides was joined by his daughter, Dr. Laura Osmer and together they care for Eufaula’s Eye Care needs.

The Dr. seemed to care and had good knowledge of eyes. But either it is the person that issues the glasses or the ‘lab’ that makes the lenses that is not listening. Four trips to try to correct my new glasses to no avail. Many notices about the final $ 30 on a $ 400+ bill but no call backs and no concern about the useless glasses that sit in a case. No thanks. I’ll wait to got somewhere else.

I was referred to these doctors because Walmart did not have an optician. I gave them my insurance info, payed in full. They broke my lenses/​frame, was treated rudely when I asked for an explanation. 2 months later I get a bill for 77 dollars. I called them up and told them that I was told this was paid in full. They gave me a long explanation about his that and the other, in a very rude manner. I will never use this doctor office again. Be careful with this group. I listened to quite a few old people complaining about the service while I was there, I did not believe them. Just saying. Follow up. I was refunded money after further review and offered a free set of glasses. They where friendly on the follow up,.
