a very nice park. Small (but dirty) beaches and nice views of the lake. I liked the inland parts in the small foresty areas with little valleys.

Not really valid to say «no swimming» as a complaint, because I really don’t think I’d want to get in the water. They would have to test it every day and have someone to close it down half the time and have a lifeguard if it was open to swimming. What it is is a decent beach access that is nice for hanging out and looking at Lake Erie. Lake Erie isn’t the best great lake, but hell, I’ll take the worst great lake over no lake at all any day. Nice rocks, nice pretty to look at water, and sand is awesome.

I came here by myself at the end of summer to catch some rays while listening to the waves! It is a bummer that there is no swimming but that was fine by me because I was just looking for something relaxing to do on my own.

It is a cool place to lay out a towel and get some sun as you listen to the sounds of the waves crash against the shore… However it does have a bit of trash in some areas and could be cleaner.

I enjoy Sims Park. It’s close to my house. There’s a beach. Lake access! I know, can you believe it? We can actually USE that giant body of water to the north!
There are signs that read: «NO SWIMMING, NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY, NO LAUGHING, NO ENJOYING LIFE, NO BREATHING»… but people swim anyway. I haven’t seen anyone get arrested for it but it might happen.
The beach is probably not the cleanest. I noticed 2 tampon applicators laying in the sand. However, if you go to Edgewater you’ll see 20 for every step you take.
Sims is usually pretty quiet and low key.
Sims isn’t perfect. It’s a Lake Erie beach. I’m giving 4 stars because it’s here and because it’s an actual beach. Why aren’t there more beaches in Greater Cleveland? It’s asinine.
Author’s note: I am not reviewing the «disc golf course». I hate frisbee and I hate that people have the nerve to call something «disc golf».
