Good selection and good prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you need help to the car with the amount you bought they will gladly help take stuff to your car. If you need help finding something they will show you where it is.

The people’s republic of Pennsylvania decrees that booze can only be bought in stores run by the state. That gives them no competition but does nothing to curb any of the other ills this state run institution is supposed to cure. SO what does the Mommy State provide here? A dark unattractive store often people by scary looking hill people(perhaps who’ve run out of moonshine?). There is a decent selection of beers. In states without Mommy State running the liquor stores, this kind of place probably wouldn’t be in business for long.

UPDATE: I spoke with the day manager who was not only shocked by his employees comments, but went above and beyond what I was anticipating. He assured me the employee would be dealt with and that Red Land Beer & Soda absolutely will not stand for this type of behavior. So with that, I’m changing my rating. They have a decent selection of imports and obviously domestics. Their prices are moderate and sometimes discounts can be had on otherwise expensive imports. But here is my biggest gripe with Red Land Beer & Soda Outlet: They use derogatory racist remarks in front of customers and co-workers. Below is an actual conversation that was had(in-store): Employee 1: «Yeah, the cop was out earlier shooting at a raccoon near the intersection.» Employee 2: «In Harrisburg they would’ve just been shootin’ at a ‘coon.» *four or five employees chuckle outloud* Me: «Really? You’re gonna go with that? You feel that’s alright to use the word „coon“ in 2011?» Employee 2: «Well, I mean. Well. Fumbles for words.» Me: «Well, that’s excellent. Have a great day, sir.» I then walked out with my case of beer(wish the transaction wouldn’t have already gone through or I would have walked out.) This wasn’t my first time at Red Land Beer & Soda. I’ve been there a dozen times or more. But this will be my last time. I cannot believe in 2011 an employee would use a racist term like that in front of co-workers and customers. 100% uncalled for.

Typically the best prices in the area by about $ 2.00. Often have sales, which are clearly marked. No guessing at prices. Fantastic selection, particularly the non-refrigerated area. Often have nice raffles. Genuine beer distributor experience with friendly staff.
