Description

Specialties

A full service tiki bar, serving food and drinks to patrons who sit on our patio on the Big Thompson River in downtown Estes Park, Colorado.

History

Established in 2005.

Mountain Munchies, home of the Mountain Dog, opened May 2005, in Estes Park, Colorado. The menu features traditional summer favorites including: burgers, elk brats, grilled chicken and fish options, sweet potato fries, fried pickle spears, corn-dogs and our deep fried bacon-wrapped Mountain Dog.

The Tiki Bar was added in 2010, making the place rock all summer long. We make all our boat drinks from real fruit and juices, muddle the best fresh organic mint mojitos in the Rocky Mountains, and our happy hour lasts all day and night. The Tiki Bar has the largest selection of rum in Northern Colorado, ask about our rum runners club. So if you want that island experience when visiting the mountains, a place where you can escape the downtown bustle and sit next to the Big Thompson River on our outdoor patio, the only place to be is the Tiki Bar.

Meet the Manager

Whitey W.

Manager

Whitey moved to the Virgin Islands in 2000 from Winnipeg, to escape the cold. Never one to tan, Whitey stood out at the beach, like a 1000 candle power lighthouse. That is when Olive saw him. The rest is history! Olive and Whitey moved to the Mountains and opened the world’s highest Tiki Bar.
